He was coaching against the all time great with two weeks of preparation. Not the Garrett led Cowboys eating the cheese, expecting extensions for a wildcard win.

True but he had two weeks to prepare and did jack squat.

The hell McVay isn't a fad. Colin Kaepernick went to a SB too and performed far better in the playoffs than McVay or Goff ever has...and all we heard for weeks and weeks after was that Kaepernick was a fad.

That nonsense better hit the Rams and their "genius HC" and "great young QB."
But this is America so we know that won't happen. Instead, we will get "but he was going up against the greatest coach of all time!!! Not fair!!!!!"
Oh another victim lol. Kap NEVER had a season as good as Goff

Bill Belichick took the Rams completely out of their comfort zone. He took away the run and play action and made Goff try to beat them from the pocket. That's not Goff's strength... especially when the run doesn't pose a threat. The Pats played 6 DBs on passing downs and the Rams didn't have a run threat to counter it.

Just my opinion, but McVay will learn from this. Hard to beat him up too much going against Belichick with two week's prep time.

Didn’t watch it? I love you are providing opinions on a football game when you didn’t watch it. That’s a good one. Brady was shut down for most of the game also. I guess he sucks too.
No. Of course Brady doesn't suck. But Brady does and always has benefited greatly in a "system" (much like Montana), and the fact that coming through the AFC East has been a walk over for much of the last 3 decades. It's not NE's fault they're in that division, but anyone who thinks that hasn't played into over the last 17 years is a bit naive. And, if you look not all that closely, you'll find that he is, especially as of the last several seasons, guilty of as much "chuck and duck" as our boy Dak ...
It is the system that's made Brady as least as much as his talent and, to his credit he's learned to run it flawlessly. They even changed the rules to protect the "Bankmeister."

And, from the stat lines, looks like the "Great Goff" ... may not be. Time will tell.

Goff choked Big Time! That boy missed 3 wide open receivers for what should have been TDs. Goff had that 'deer in the headlights' look from the first snap until the end. He didn't show up.

Dak's done that too....against the Rams in the playoffs. It is what it is. I'm sure Rams fans are hoping Goff will improve in the off-season just like we hope Dak will fix that accuracy issue.

This thread is funny.

The Rams coach is being made fun but he beat Jason Garrett.

I take McVay over Jason in a heartbeat.

Dude, I'd trade Garrett, my big unopened bag of Doritos, and a six pack of whatever beer is required for McVay.

Hell, I'd trade Garrett, Doritoes, and the beer for a cactus. It would probably make more adjustments and coach better in the playoffs than Garrett

How many? 2... 3 passes? They all miss passes.

They don't all miss easy passes to wide open receivers in the playoffs. Like it or not, Dak choked part of the game away. He made up for it in the second half, but he contributed to the loss.

That being said, the biggest problems with the Cowboys is the coaching and the management. Dak can improve. I don't see Jerry or Garrett improving any.
