Case in point is Aaron Rodgers. In my view the best QB in the league but his contract knee caps the roster so they struggle year after year in the play offs (should they make it).

Where have you been for the last two years. He hasnt been anymore than an avg player since his back issues started and he refuses to go under the knife.
Might want to watch some football
How many sacks do you think he gave up this year?

But dlaw isn't in the same conversation as Mack. Macks numbers get better the 2nd half of the season

Well, Little. Since their numbers basically look the same, that would mean that Mack is not as strong to start the season. So it evens out.

How about those holding penalties. I believe he had the 4th most in the league. That's just as bad as a sack imo
He had 7 and they are not close to the same as a sack since you don’t lose the down
No sacks last year
3 sacks the year before
5 sacks over last 3 yrs

I'll take the player who finishes strong, not the one who starts strong and disappears at the end of the season. When half your sacks comes in the first 4 games that's not ideal. Mack is pretty consistent through out the year and gets stronger in the 2nd half. I'm not sure any one would put dlaw in the conversation with Mack, except Cowboy fans.

In this offense it's a death sentence. 7 is a lot of holding calls. The reason you hold is because you are out of position and are beat. He had that one non sense call when he bear mauled a db on a pull to the outside but the others are him getting beat. So you could say if he doesn't hold he gives up more than 3 sacks.

Still doesn’t make him avg
I hate holding calls and 7 is high but no sacks offset some of them
Would you rather he had 4 holds and 3 sacks
The sacks cost you a down and yardage so they do hurt more than a penalty

Signing Cooper will actually drop his cap hit this year
Coop is already signed so assume you are talking about re-signing him and yeah I can see your point, but I still thing Dak should be given that last year of his current contract to prove his worth to this team.

It's the same thing i bet all 7 would stall the drive.

he just doesn't take over games....you get that kinda money if you can take over games....sure he is a great player and can make a big impact, but when was the last time we had a big game that you can say he took over and we won?

Belichik kicked Chandler jones to the curb

Jerry needs to follow those for steps If that's the amount of money he wants

Wow. That's nearly what Mack and Donald got.

If that's really his expectation, our front office is going to have one heck of a tough decision to make. Probably a 2nd franchise tag scenario.
