It’s more likely that Murray goes number 1 overall than falling to round 2.

Kingsbury said he’d draft Murray with the first pick overall while he was still at Texas Tech. Chances are he won’t because they have Rosen.

I just pray he doesn’t go to the Giants or Commanders.

Please, God. No.

And we sure as hell shouldn't be considering trading up for him. I wouldn't even take him if he fell to us in the 3rd. Too small to be a QB in the NFL. And we shouldn't be spending our premium picks on the hopes that he'll be a gadget player for us. We have too many needs for that.

I hope and pray somebody gets enamored with him and makes him a stupid/Tebow type pick before he ever even becomes a consideration for us. Either that, or he comes right out and says he's going to be a baseball player.

The NFL draft is a fishing trip for Murray.

If he doesn’t go high 1st-round — with big $$ — he’ll take the Oakland A’s offer.

That's what I think too. I think that if he doesn't go really high, then he is only going to be a part time player in the NFL. I don't think you can afford to spend a high first round pick on a player who isn't all in on the team, especially at QB. I just don't see it working out.

Agreed but chances are the Cardinals move that pick to a team needing a QB.

I think you'd have to be insane not to want Murray over Prescott. If Russell Wilson can thrive in the NFL there's no reason why Murray can't. That 1 inch doesn't carry that much significance.

I don't think it's as much about height as it is actual body type. First of all, I don't buy the 5'9/5'10 size but if he actually is 5'10, then you may be right. However, if he is only 5'8, he is never going to be able to get big enough to take the pounding the NFL servers up. Wilson is 5'11 but he's also 215 lbs and you don't really see him break the pocket to run it down field. Murray is not that kind of QB. He will break the pocket and try and make yards. He will take hits and that's the really big thing, to me.

If he's not picked in the first, he's going to play baseball.

And Murray has a better arm than Wilson and is a hell of a lot faster .

Murray only broke the pocket when he had to and was always looking downfield to throw .

I wouldn't. I see him as a more accomplished Kordell Stewart. I'm no fan of the situation down in NO - basically taking the ball out of the hands of Drew Brees and putting it in a gimmick. I think that's what Kyle would be. There are other college QBs that could fill that roll that wouldn't burn a very valuable 2nd round pick.

Now, just for full disclosure, I'm an old fart that is not a fan of the Big 12 offense come to the NFL. That's not the way it was back when I walked 3 miles to school uphill both ways in the snow when I was a kid so factor that into my opinion.

If he drops to us in the second, do you take him and how would you use him?
I'd take a shot and start him off as a wildcatter QB.

The only QB I'd draft in the 1st is Haskins. Unfortunately, he'll probably end up being a Giant.

Jerry is sold on Dak so I won't bother speculating on Murray in the 2nd.
