If Murray drops to second round (he won't) then he won't play football. His bonus from baseball would be far greater than a 2nd round pick would get. Really fact is that if he drops lower than 20 in the 1st round, he more than likely opts for baseball and not football.
I doubt he’ll make his decision soley based on money
But yeah, if he drops to the 2nd, he might reconsider. Unlikely to fall that far anyway.
It'd still depend on the team. If he went to Jacksonville early in the 2nd, well, he might still like his chances.

If kyler Murray falls to into our laps we would be extremely lucky, I doubt he does. But it would allow us to let Dak walk and hit FA after his rookie contract. While at the same time kyler would be able to sit a year gather all the ins and outs of the offense. There is not point in paying Dak a huge contract when you could have a young highly talented QB on a small rookie contract.

Hes going be drafted in two of the most major sports at the professional level. And you are talking about his size, it hasn’t been a problem for him in the past. I doubt it will be in the future.

It’s more likely that Murray goes number 1 overall than falling to round 2.

Kingsbury said he’d draft Murray with the first pick overall while he was still at Texas Tech. Chances are he won’t because they have Rosen.

I just pray he doesn’t go to the Giants or Commanders.

I wish the Giants took him but I know they won't. They draft high enough to take an actual quarterback. But the Commanders might be in the right spot. That is if they can afford to pay him and Smith for the following 2 seasons. I think he'll fall to the second round or later.

Dude is soft spoken and this was his first year playing for a large program. If anything he should have stayed in college another year. I do think he is looking for the largest check.

He did play at A&M in 2015 as well as having a few appearances last year for OU. I don't think he allowed by his current contract with Oakland to go back to OU.

He didn’t turn down a baseball contract to be a WR...

Has he turned down a baseball contract? I think March is the deadline for him to report and if he doesn't then he owes the A's money, but they will still own his rights.

I think most say he is a 4.45-4.50 guy...though he claimed to once run an unofficial sub 4.4.

fwiw, Baker Mayfield claims Murray will run a 4.2 at the combine:lmao2:
Now THAT would qualify as blazing fast.
I think (or hope) he meant 4.42--which would be great. 4.20 ain't happenin'
If Murray runs much over a 4.3 I will be surprised.

His arm may be a smidge better than Russell’s. although Russell also has a cannon. But Russell was also a far more experienced and developed QB coming out of college, than Murray is now.

In my opinion.

No problem Bro , just get him the same guru that is going to teach Dak propper footwork and we're set.

If Murray is there, we would be fools not to take him and develop him. Worst case, we can trade him later if he's not better than Dak after Dak's rookie deal is up and that would give us major leverage against Dak's contract demands.

Much stronger arm than Dak. Much more accurate. Fast as lightning. Very smart player with terrific vision. Won three state titles in the toughest division in Texas, and went undefeated those years. Then won a Heismann Trophy.

But he's a shade taller than Peter Dinklage.

However, would he be worth a late 2nd-round pick if he went to the NFL? Absolutely.

The guy plays from the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield when he scrambles. He disproves so many theories.

No doubt he would throw for 40 TD's his rookie year, not miss any open receivers, and win rookie of the year? Otherwise we would hear morons asking for him to be cut the next year. LOL

If Murray is available in the late second where we are picking. I am fine with that. Although I don’t see him sticking to football if that happens.

His size is an issue.

QBs with his skill set not winning championships is an issue.

His interview doesn’t give off the vibe of a NFL QB.

I think people have overrated him because he is quick and played against teams with no defenses for a year.

He’s a huge risk.

We have the same kind of QB on this team only a little taller/thicker with a lesser arm.

I think people just see that he can make plays, he’s a quick and smart athlete with a very good arm and a baseball background. Which means he started throwing ALOT at an early age.

Kyler will be drafted by a team and he will be a QB if not then he will play baseball. The kid is talented, and I don’t know why people write him off..
