We have the same kind of QB on this team only a little taller/thicker with a lesser arm.

I think people just see that he can make plays, he’s a quick and smart athlete with a very good arm and a baseball background. Which means he started throwing ALOT at an early age.

Kyler will be drafted by a team and he will be a QB if not then he will play baseball. The kid is talented, and I don’t know why people write him off..

Because the NFL is another ball game when it comes to QB play. Especially when you come from a conference that plays 0 defense.

He’s a huge risk and I don’t think he’s like Dak at all. I’m not a big Dak fan but Dak can make plays from the pocket. I wish he broke the pocket more.

I think Murray is the exact opposite. I don’t see him sitting in the pocket and reading a defense at a very high level. He will try to do the sand lot thing at Tavon Austin’s size in the NFL. Good luck with that.

Well obviously we don’t see eye to eye on this, combine will tell a lot about his abilities as a QB. Definitely interesting..to watch

If Murray runs much over a 4.3 I will be surprised.
So all of his times have been in the 4.4 to 4.5 range except once he says he had a hand timed best at 4.38.
And you think he will be in low 4.3s or lower?

I just know I never saw him get caught from behind and even when they had the angle on him they couldn't get him.

LOL No thank you.

The guy is a huge risk.

He's small.

He still hasn't chosen baseball or football. You can't play QB and and Baseball. Sorry.

He played 1 season of College football and produced in a conference on a team with more talent then everyone else and absolutely no defenses.

He was shut down against Alabama until they were up 28-0 and he just started naturally producing because of the situation.

Also, his interview is just awful. I've never seen a championship QB speak like that.

hmmm, sounds like our current situation

I didn't watch the entire clip, just skipped sections to hear him speak, sounds a lot like Russell Wilson.

Dallas isnt taking a qb
they should really draft a QB within the first 3 rounds in 2019 and 2020. We know they won't. They have this system going on to cater to the QB, but as soon as the QB gets overpaid (Aaron Rodgers type contract) we have thrown away our opportunity to continue success. With our current situation we have a good chance to develop QBs for a year or two, along with our current guys, to take the helm when the time is right. But as you said, they won't. The coaches screwed up in 2016, they'll screw up again our long term potential after 2019.

Much stronger arm than Dak. Much more accurate. Fast as lightning. Very smart player with terrific vision. Won three state titles in the toughest division in Texas, and went undefeated those years. Then won a Heismann Trophy.

But he's a shade taller than Peter Dinklage.

However, would he be worth a late 2nd-round pick if he went to the NFL? Absolutely.

The guy plays from the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield when he scrambles. He disproves so many theories.
first off hes not falling to the 2nd thats insane, if hes not drafted high and not on team starting him day one, he wont show and he will go play baseball..if he fails at MLB in few years he can come back to the draft and reenter or be FA or something..this kid and his dad will settle for nothing less then huge top 10 1st round money and shot at starting day 1..so we can wake up from this dream and this thread and move on to real picks we could draft..

If he drops to the 2nd round it must be because of a commitment to the MLB. I’m not wasting a second rounder on a hope. I get why the Patriots would do it. Cowboys aren’t in position to do it.

Murray definitely isn’t more pro ready than Wilson out of college.

he set the rookie TD record.

I’d take Wilson 10/10 times over Murray anyway.

This is not true, IMO. Wilson came from a passing Offense at NCSt. when he transferred to Wisconsin. He was probably the most accomplished passer in the Class of 2012. He has four full years of experience as a starter coming out and Murray has had one. Russell Wilson was far more accomplished coming out.

I wouldn't draft him in the first, even if I had one, simply because I wouldn't want to throw away the pick if he doesn't play. Since our highest pick is a second round, I wouldn't gamble with that one either. Give me a lineman, offense or defense, if one falls to me. We need meat and potatoes with the 2nd round pick, not dessert that may or may not make it to the table.

He's playing football.

And he'll go Top 10 in the draft.

And vastly outperform Dak in the end.

He could have fallen if there was still question about which sport he's playing.

Now that he announced he's going football, he'll get drafted high in the first round.
