Like I said in an earlier post, I’ve not seen Bellichick, Payton, McVay, or even an OC like McDaniels do goofy stuff like this. I know the commercial is not a reflection of his abilities to function in his job, but to me, when you are 29 years old and trying to be taken seriously and break into the fraternity of high level NFL coaches, image is important.
You live in the area where Moore is very popular.........You don't live where these other coaches are popular, so you don't know what kind of commercials they may or may not do. Regardless, as OmerV pointed out, why is it important that our OC have no sense of humor about himself?

Who said I'm disappointed in him. I think he was a poor hire as a QB coach and will be the same as an OC. This hire is Jones thinking he has the next young offensive mind...like McVay for the Rams. Not happening. This team is stuck in the 90's with JG and RM still here...
It seems out of character for you to not give him a chance, before deciding he's no good.

I was told the same thing when JG was hired, that's gone well ... years wasted, next year will be wasted...

And you haven’t cashed in the winning Power Ball Numbers multiple times because.....??
Since, clearly you can see the future.

Somebody is taking life waaaay too seriously. Lighten up, Francis!... lol.

Ya know, Tom Landry once dressed up as a Cowboy for an American Express commercial.
"Cuz you never know when you might be surrounded by Commanders."
Good point!

While I find your undying fascination with me flattering, and appreciate that you are eager to ignore all other posters in a thread as you drool over my contributions, if you would take the time to read what others have written you would find in almost every response to the OP the poster tells the OP he is making something out of nothing. In short, the OPs position does not have any support, but you are too busy obsessing over me to know it. Accordingly, it’s not because I say so, it’s because virtually everybody says so.
Whoever you're arguing with, I highly recommend the ignore feature.

I hear ya. But Moore also has an image to cultivate and project. How many of these types of commercials do you think Gruden, Belichick, Payton, McVay did?

Come on RoboQB, the OP is right. After all, here are a couple of guys who’s careers were completely derailed because they did a silly commercial.

I was not happy with how Dak seemed to regress early in the 2018 season, only to get better when Cooper arrived. I am not a fan of anything that SL has recommended, he is the last person that this team should listen to. I would have hoped they at least asked Romo about the OC job, but I have a feeling no one of quality will want to come here as long as JG is the coach, including Romo.

I never root for us to lose. next year, I might be willing to sacrifice the season to see JG gone. I can not get past the wrong cleats for the Rams. Because that is so typical of a Garrett team, unprepared for the big game. It was raining in LA most of the day...what were they doing all-day.

Regarding the cleats, I'm sure if any of the players had come off the field saying they needed bigger cleats, the equipment manager would've changed them. I'm pretty sure they bring a full supply to every game. I really can't see blaming the coaches for that.

Didn't Jones say they brought the wrong cleats? So I was under the assumption they did not have the correct cleats. Maybe that was just Jones making excuses for his lousy coaches. I just don't see things changing with JG. I think we got a talented team that should compete for a title, I just think we need better coaches...

Jones just said something to the effect of he blames the cleats. We all thought the field was going to be even worse than it was, so it would've been ridiculously idiotic to not bring longer cleats, and I don't think even Garrett is that foolish.

At what point do some of stop and start questing the sanity of the FO and JG? You do not need to see the future, just look at the last 10 years with JG and his hiring decisions, or the last 25 years of just awful FO management.

Good point. Unless JG wins the SB next year or at least gets us there, we have to move on. Just remember if Moore is successful we'll get another decade of JG...:laugh::laugh:.

Romo has said repeatedly his priority is to have time with his kids while they are still young, and he has a job that gives him that time and also pays well. He was not a candidate, and fans need to let it go.

Moore may or may not do well as OC, but whether he does or not has nothing to do with Scott Linehan, or this commercial in Boise, Idaho. Lineman is far from the only one who has talked about Moore having a sharp football mind - everyone the press has found that has played with or coached Moore says the same thing. Clearly the lack of experience is a concern, but we can’t change the fact he has been hired, so why not give him a chance?

If Moore is successful, and happy to work under JG for a few years, that's fine with me.

The fact that he lacks experience, but JJ wants him to be creative is one of the few scenarios in which Garrett could be the best HC to have right now. While JG is basically being told to allow Moore to open things up, I doubt he'll have carte blanche, and Garrett's conservative nature might be just the right balance.
