At what point do some of stop and start questing the sanity of the FO and JG? You do not need to see the future, just look at the last 10 years with JG and his hiring decisions, or the last 25 years of just awful FO management.
People obviously are questioning the FO, and have been for a long time, but questioning the FO doesn’t mean it is logical or fair to give up on seasons before they have been played and condemn people that get hired before they even get a chance.

A year ago there were fans on this site predicting the 2018 season would be a disaster, and it wasn’t. When Romo went down in the 2016 preseason a number of posters threw in the towel and proclaimed the season over, and it wasn’t. Going into 2019 we are coming off winning the division despite routinely playing with 2-4 starters on the O-Line injured, and we have the hope of a healthier O-line, and will have Cooper all season. So, why would we be so quick to declare it a wasted season before it starts?

You live in the area where Moore is very popular.........You don't live where these other coaches are popular, so you don't know what kind of commercials they may or may not do. Regardless, as OmerV pointed out, why is it important that our OC have no sense of humor about himself?

All of the other coaches and players that I have seen in commercials that poke fun at themselves had already “made it,” i.e. achieved some success on the field or as a coach. I love Moore and believe in him as OC. But he’s done virtually nothing yet as a coach. So, if I were his agent, I would have waiting on the self-deprecating, “I’m a dork” commercial until he’s built up some cred. That is all.

But according to everyone who lives in the area in which the commercials are being aired, he's a well established and loved icon there already.
I never would have known about this ad if you hadn't posted it.

or throwing him under the bus.

I guess anything's possible, especially if Kellen makes a fool of himself. It should be an intriguing 2019 season, in any case. Dak seems like a pretty loyal type to me but at times, failure causes awkward circumstances.

I'm hoping Kellen fares well enough to justify his OC position, though. If not, it will probably be back to square one. Whatever happens usually happens for a reason. Kellen will either justify his promotion as an OC or he won't.

Something you are missing is Moore actually got these commercials because he was “established” - because he had “cred”. He got the endorsement deal because he was an established local football legend, not because of his coaching.

The difference with the guys you named is only that they had to no established popularity even on a local basis before becoming established head coaches. That’s why you didn’t see them doing these commercials before becoming established as head coach - nobody wanted them in a commercial before that.

I'd love it if Kellen brought us to the SB. Not only because we'd be in the SB, but because it'd be fun to see if all the whiny people shut up, or just try to credit anyone but him.

Seems arm chair gm's are also experts in public relations and advertising. I still like the ad.

Any idea how much Moore will make as the OC? Does Dallas publish that info? I'm wondering if he'll stop the ads if he makes a big enough salary.
