Heath really recognized the bootleg by Goff didn’t he? He STILL doesnt know that Goff kept the ball.
He was playing his man. Had he left for Goff, he'd have had a W.O. receiver. We could still use an upgrade at the position no doubt. I just don't put they play entirely on Heath. We got gashed on all runs, including the QB.

Regarding Thomas, does anyone know how Richard feels about him? First he pulls that bonehead move with Garrett which couldn't have been received well by his coaches and teammates and then flips off his coaching staff when he breaks his leg again.

Any coach dependent on a good locker room and a cohesive unit has to consider what he brings and with what he's shown, I would be apprehensive but then does what he did even matter to the players? Is the mercenary attitude so prevalent that players just don't care about that?

Richard is a big fan of ET.

They were interested in him last April because Richard wanted him to help implement his coverage scheme.

Now that they've had a year in the scheme I don't know if the front office would have as much interest as last off-season.

I do think they consider signing him but they'll likely wait to see what offers he receives. Guaranteed money will be a bigger issue than cost per season.

It is really difficult to know what other teams will offer him. I don't think he'll want to go to a bad team but those tend to be the teams with a lot of cap space.

Some teams may avoid him because they might think he is planning to go play for Kris Richard and is just using them to get a better contract from the Cowboys.

Adrian Amos has been my choice.

Age is perfect, pairing with Woods is perfect, keep Heath around as back-up for a year. Cost will be significantly less than Collins, with a smaller variance in quality of player.

You have piqued my interest in Amos, now I gotta Google the cat...

Seems like a Jag that is showing signs of improvement...

3 picks and 274 tackles in four seasons, two picks last season...

He's a top 8-10 guy in the league, with some upside. Not an elite player, but good enough and young enough that he is a big improvement over Heath and he will be far cheaper than Collins. We can afford Amos, Collins will be squeezing our cap just a bit too much with all of the re-signings we have this year + next.

What do we need?

Woods at FS played well and improved througout the year.

Health was bad. Most missed tackles on the team and bad in coverage.

So I think we want a box type first, but with hopefully better coverage skill than Heath.

Do you think Woods could play SS if we sign Thomas or do you think he is strictly a FS? He's a hitter so i would think he could play SS. Thomas is an upgrade to Woods and Woods an upgrade to Heath.

I'd take Vacarro over any of the bottom four guys.

If not Thomas, Vacarro is the 2nd most likely safety for us to actually sign.
Amos is by far my favorite though.

Adrian Amos. Guy is a stud. Honey badger could have been a Cowboy but he was dubbed not a scheme fit by this clown show front office. Those are the two safties I want.

draft the right guy ... what we need ain't on that list

I have to point out we could have signed Reid to 3 year deal dirt cheap last year... got an upgrade at S, helped NFL PR, and maybe won another few games

A standout safety has been an obvious need in Dallas for quite some time, and the team has been linked heavily to impending free agent Earl Thomas.

Re-signing Lawrence should take priority, though, so if the 'Boys commit so much cash to him that they're outbid for Thomas, Adrian Amos, Landon Collins and Lamarcus Joyner would be excellent consolation prizes. The safety market appears to be deep.

So you're saying that of the 10 guys, most with entirely different skill sets, none of them fit our need?

Okay, then which draft prospect is the exact fit?

And idk where you're getting signing Reid dirt cheap for three years, he only wanted a 1 yr prove it deal and it paid off for him and now he's expensive. And Reid wouldn't have added "a few extra wins" lol.

I think the FO is doing just fine lmao.
