I think its safe to say that most of us will be watching TE DL S for sure Some OL T maybe a slot WR Just curious to what players you will be looking at?
TE
Kaden Smith*
The only TE I see at 59 unless Smith falls
Josh Oliver
TJ Kockenson
Zack gentry interest me because of his size 6'8
Kendal Blanton

DL
1T
Isiah Buggs****
Greg Gains
Demarcus Christmas*
Maybe a pick at 59 Isiah should be at that range for sure
Daylon Mack
Dontavious Russell

DL
3T
Jerry Tillery
Dremont Jones
Gerald Willis***
any of these guys could be a pick at 59
Marquese Copeland
Khalen saunders**
Daniel Wise
Terry Beckner

S
Juan Thornhill
Taylor Rapp
Chauncy Gardner-Johnson
WR- Slot
I could see any of these being a pick at 59
Marquise Brown
Hunter Renfrow
Andy Isbella
Johnny Dixon
Penny Hart

Of course all of this is subject to change after the combine players will rise or fall depending on how they do. Any thoughts input?

I don't really think of the combine in terms of evaluating my favorite players. If guys test well, good for them, but it doesn't effect my grade on them. If they test poorly, I dock their grade accordingly.

The scouts will tell you the most important aspect is the medicals and the interviews, so this will be our first glimpse into the draft strategy of the Cowboys based on who they talk to.

There are players I'm particularly interested in seeing; whether it be based on something I've heard or personally watched on tape.
QB Kyler Murray
RB Darrell Henderson
RB Myles Gaskin
WR Andy Isabella
TE Noah Fant
DL Rashan Gary
DT Kingsley Keke
LB Germaine Pratt
S Jaquan Johnson
S Johnathan Abram

Sub 4.4 WR’s that can play in the slot
All TE’s
All 1st-4th round DT’s
RB’s that look shifty, can catch
All safeties

I raise and dock guys based on the combine.

A guy like Andy Isabella I’m raise up my board if he runs fast enough where I think he can be damaging in the NFL running jet sweeps. I don’t have him that high at the moment but if he runs a 4.3 that says to me he’s got the speed to run jet sweeps. I don’t think you can be effect at NFL level unless your a sub 4.4 guy in that role.

Similarly if there is a late draft guy getting 100 tackles at LB and he measures in with 34” arms, I’m raising him up my board because I think he’s got the tools to learn to get off blocks than a generic late round LB

Everyone I get interested in end up flying up the draft board and out of our range. Happens every year.
Unfortunately NFL scouts eventually catch on to what I think.

I don't think he will test very well.
Just curious to why you think he will not test well? I havent watched that much of him this year is he not athletic? I heard Witten say that he really liked the kid.

I listed players that were of position of need or we were looking at or linked to. Not really pet cats though there are a few I wouldnt mind seeing in a Cowboys uniform.
I watched Myles Gaskin and really like his game he would look good in a Cowboys uniform!

Saunders is NOT a 3T just so you know. I will be watching him for sure. Hope Dallas is also.

Robert Woods was the player that logged the most snaps running the Rams jet sweep. Forty Time: 4.51

Randall Cobb ran those types of plays early in his career. Forty Time: 4.55

McVay credits part of their success on those types of plays to the fact that they use different players to run it. He said that his 1st year with the Rams they used Tavon Austin on those types of plays but it became too predictable that when he was in the game they were likely to run it. The Rams have even used TEs to run the jet sweep.

Charles Omenihu DL/Texas. Big, long, versatile lineman that I think could play DE or 3T.
Darrell Henderson RB/Memphis. My favorite back in the draft, but I don't think he'll test well.
Saivion Smith DB/Alabama. JUCO transfer who played only one year with Bama, but played well. He's a bit of an unknown and I'm interested how he tests. Has the size to play multiple DB spots.
