Ok...I guess where I differ is whatever fans think about the state of the team is cool with me. I don’t always agree, but their perspective is their perspective. The only thing I don’t like is people “correcting” opinions. I’ve needed correcting on occasion regarding facts. Got it wrong and someone corrected me. That’s cool. That’s appropriate. Correcting someone’s opinion seems odd to me for an opinion forum.
Esp when they scream and whine that their opinion is fact.

Find an example of a legitimate criticism getting ripped maybe so I can see what you’re getting at?

I’ll be the first to admit I rip on whiners. I think it’s cringey. I’d never suggest otherwise. But I rarely rip on an honest attempt at criticism of the team, if ever. I might disagree with it, but that’s what the debate threads are for.
Just go look over 99% of Rocky's posts!!!!!!

I’ve reported him and I think he’s been given timeouts.

I simply don’t respond to him anymore and he doesn’t me but he either contributes a measureable amount or everyone isn’t reporting him?

But by far is only one on here who repeatedly is insulting other members rather blatantly. Very surprising it’s tolerated.

I don't understand your question.

People keep using the phrase “rah rah” to describe some Cowboy fans who don’t constantly voice displeasure. The phrase is generally viewed as negative, insinuating that the “rah rah” is blind and gullible, less of a fan, and satisfied with mediocrity. Sometimes amusing, but mostly just baloney.

Apologies, didn't realize the term had negative connotations. I used it as a simple term to denote that I used to do more just cheering and believing in Jerry and co.

I reported him, but he's under the protection of staff for some odd reason. I find it disconcerting that he throws insults repeatedly and is allowed to do so.

Yea, I don’t consider a “ rah rah” fan to be any lesser of fan but they simply aren’t ones who want to hear criticism which is fine.

There’s a place for all kinds of fans from the cheerleaders to the critics. They just shouldn’t all sit together. Lol

I love all fans and accept that many are going to see it differently than I. Place gets boring w/o the movers and shakers.

Agreed. I think I know who you’re referring to, but what can we do? On a side note, you and I have had our go-arounds, but it’s all mostly in good fun—no malice. You and CC and a handful of others keep me coming back!

Boom! Truth!
And as far as Jerry learning things on the job, can you imagine having a job where you had 23 chances to show you can do something? And there is no failure that can dislodge him from power.

Agreed ,sad for us but Jerry has the ultimate in job security. At 76 I feel its SB of bust he is riding this out till his health will no longer let him continue . Its his mission to prove he can do it his way and nobody in his inner circle has the balls to tell him he is wrong or making a mistake . They all take there nice salaries and let the chips fall as they may.

The only dim light I see is that Jerry is not immune to changing coordinators . Jerry has won just enough gambles lately with Jaylon and Gregory along with a complete lack of preparation for Romos health problems and having his 4th round replacement take us to the playoffs and win 2 out of 3 yrs to feel lucky enough to take a chance on Moore .
If Moore has an impact similar to what Richards had on Defense we could get farther but its still a long shot

There are a pile of posters on either side of the coin, positive and negative, who basically do nothing but whine and moan and attack each other incessantly. Although it's highly annoying, I generally ignore it.

The only time it annoys me is when they start in on good posters and attack them for legit opinions. Otherwise, I pay very little attention to their spew.

Could be, but we as fans have absolutely no idea what Moore will be/do as OC. I sure hope this org has inside info that indicates success.

However, for us to continue to hold onto those years of 20 winning seasons in a row, 8 trips and 5 rings and apply that to now is only fooling ourselves.

I hear you, and it's not like I only know about the team from when I started to follow them in about 1968, up until 1996. I take a team in its entirety, not just periods of it. Like when I hear some Saints fan around her dissing my Cowboys because THEY won a SB 9 years ago rather than 23 years ago, ignoring the fact that the Saints were a laughing stock of the league for most of their history until that win. They only want to brag about how good Brees and Payton are in the last few years.

While I don't "hold on" to the 70's Cowboys, I include that in my view of the team, and I'm the first to bring that up when talking to any other NFL franchise fan, glad to discuss the teams but it has to be with the totality of their history, not just whatever periods of success they have. The Steelers may have 6 rings, but they didn't win a championship for 40 years, took my Cowboys only 11, for example. It's all part of history...
