That does seem suspect. Why enroll your children in a school far away from said team (Seattle). Dallas must be offering him something. Would be a great addition to the team. Hopefully he can stay healthy. Once we resign Lawrence, this’ll be deadly defense.
He's a free agent, why would he enroll his kids in Seattle when he's from Texas

He gave the Seahawks one good reason not to:

How does he know Seattle wasn’t going to resign him unless he plans on retiring? I’m just saying that it’s strange for him to move to Texas when he could get resigned anywhere. Unless he plans on moving by himself instead of living with his family (which makes no sense).

Probably wants to live where there's no state income tax.

And I would like a more credible news source than Fisher

Maybe he plans on signing with the Longhorns lol

I was just telling a friend that a lot of NFL players move here (Phoenix - East valley area) towards the end of their NFL careers.

It doesn't mean they are about to sign with the Cardinals. It's usually because the player has identified where they want to live after their career and get their kids enrolled in schools. The player still leases a house in the city of their NFL team.

Brian Urlacher and Donovan McNabb are some examples.
Exactly, and in ETs case he isn’t even moving his family to a city with an NFL team, so he wouldn’t have the option of living with his family even if he signed with Dallas.

Will this ET BS ever end? How about the leg, mended? How about father time, forgetful? How about the attitude, changed? I love these threads

One step closer to disappointment.

He's missed 19 games the last 3 seasons so if you sign him you'd better have a plan B, which makes giving him a crazy contract even crazier.

Well, he did go to UT and Austin is a very cool town to live in with lots to do...
I just hate the humidity.

That's only an advantage when the home games are in a State with no income tax. The players pay the tax on games where they play, so Dallas players pay California tax when they play in SF, New York tax for Giants home games, etc.

Well, ET isn’t enrolling his kids in a Dallas area school. He could simply be planning to sign with a team in the South somewhere, and if it’s not Dallas, maybe Houston or New Orleans.

Houston will likely be in the market too with Matthieu a FA.

Jeff Heath will save the day.

Seattle clearly doesn't want to resign him since they never offered him an extension and the fact they were trying to trade him because he stated he wanted to be the highest paid safety in the league last year......when his football career is over, he's probbaly going to move back to Texas because that's where his family is located and if his children are school age, why wouldn't he want them enrolled in the state where he grew up!!

the one good reason why is he wanted to be the highest paid safety in the league and Seattle wasn't going to overpay for a 30 year old safety when they were transitiioning into a younger team....

He's a tx guy from orange, who went to UT(in Austin), married to a woman who also lived in Orange and Austin, they married in Houston and now they are enrolling their kids in Austin and that means he's coming to Dallas?

He can’t live with his family in Austin and work in Dallas either.
