I would prefer a QB taller than Prescott at 6'2" and a true pocket passer to a dual threat or short one. Yes, Brees and Wilson are great but they're exceptions, Murray is too dependent on his athleticism and moving around in the backfield and what he did at OU was against Big 12 defenses.

It's a moot question because he's not lasting until the 2nd unless it leaks out he's bending toward MLB and as of yesterday, he was selling hard that he would be totally committed to football because no team will allow him to play both unless they're really desperate.

If the NYG take him, he would be a very interesting wildcat QB in that offense.
What Mayfield and Mahomes did was against Big 12 defenses too and they appear to be making the transition.

These Big 12 QB’s are for real and their offenses are part of why those defenses statistically were so bad.

Big 12 has more focus on their offenses and prolific QB’s. Will Grier from West Virginia is another one I’d be looking at. And Steinham from Auburn who was originally from Baylor another.

Big 12 is becoming a cream of crop for QB’s because of their prolific offenses which is an attraction for this football fan and apparently the NFL.

Some team is going to be disappointed if they draft him in the first round to be their QB.

The next Senneca Wallace.

All the fans on here enamored watching him play against teams with no defense and then not producing until he's down 28-0 against Alabama..

Buh buh buh.. He's fast!

Like that even matters for a QB in the NFL.

When coverage is tight and he is bottled up as a runner can he sit in the pocket and make throws into tight coverage or is he going to constantly be running around trying to escape and buy time?

"He's accurate CATCH! I saw him do it in College against the worst defenses in the country!"

Save it please.

Not to mention the guy is Tavon Austins size.

Kyler Murray is a huuuuge risk.

Murray isn’t the only QB I’d be looking at in this draft.

I don't see how Murray is ever going to be able to sit in the pocket and read a defense...and that's a requirement in today's NFL.

I don't question his ability to make all the throws, but I absolutely question his ability to physically see them. An offense where you have to break the pocket on every play is pretty unsustainable.

Is it possible that many NFL teams don’t agree with your concerns? Or at least believe his talent can overcome these obstacles.

NFL teams get it wrong all the time.

They'll get it wrong again with him.

If Andy Reid was coaching him i'd give him a chance.

Sure, I think he's going to go in the top 10 lol

I just have doubts about whether or not that kind of investment will work out.

Keep hearing TV talking heads question the 5-10 height at which we list Kyler. Have heard a couple even say they think he's more like 5-8. Before the season, our strength staff measured him at 5-9 7/8 in socks

hope the giants waste a pick

Why do some say he is a freak of nature? If he was 6'-4" and could move as he does, then I would say he is a freak. Heck, even if he was only 6'-0" I'd say he was close to being a freak. At 5'-10"(and he is probably shorter) I don't think freak athlete. I think amazing quickness, but not freak athlete.

There have been many QBs come out of the Big XII that didn't amount to anything in the NFL over the last decade. I hope Washington drafts him and he turns out to be the bust I think he will be.

That's a no sale on Big 12 defenses. I might be an easier sell if I hadn't watched them play.

How many athletes can be drafted in first round in MLB and NFL?

That’s definitely very elite status when you consider Deion Danders and Bo Jackson are only others in the modern era to start in both leagues.

If that’s not freakish it’s definitely close. He doesn’t need a freakish physique to be freakishly talented.

Do you ever get it wrong? But I would agree Murray’s chances increase pending the team and coaching.

Are you suggesting Murray shouldn’t be drafted ?

lol absolutely not.

I am saying he is as big of a risk as it gets because the conference he plays in inflates the way he looks on the football field because defenses are an absolute joke and he is so small that it's completely against what typically works at that position.
