With how loaded this draft is at pass rusher, I think we'll have a legit shot at stud with our 2nd round pick.

Tier 1:

Bosa
Allen
Gary
Ferrell
Sweat
Burns
Polite

TIer 2:

Ferguson
Walker
Allen
Ximines
Bryant
The tier one guys are really good this year

I think that it is more important to get defensive tackle help. They have 4 other defensive ends that they can use.

But they drafted that Armstrong dude last year, just as all the other DE's in the 4th and 5th rounds in previous years that have not worked out.
And what about that Taco guy.

DE once again will be a priority over DT & S in the eyes of Marinelli and the FO.
There will be guys there worth the pick
The problem is that means picking later for other needs we have but if the quality is there you got to take one
Sure ain’t excited about Taco time

Average snaps per game played in 2018:
Taco 36.6
Gregory 32.6

Starts
Taco 7
Gregory 1

Gregory played 3 more games than Taco.

If Chris Richard really takes over the defense as I expect, Taco will either be much improved or won't play at all. KR will show him the way to the asthma field if he does not get his attitude straightened up.

If taco can play that’s huge

Jerry actually mentioned Taco from the combines. Can't remember exactly what he said but it was something to the effect of expecting a big season coz it's his third year.

Polite probably will take a tumble as he had a terrible Combine. Maybe not to 58, but he will take a hit.

I’d be shocked if he falls out of the first.

His tape is really impressive and shows explosive getoff and natural bend.

Even IF there was no mention of the hamstring I’d have zero hesitations about using a 1st on him.

The more concerning thing other than his poor workout was his behavior and attitude.

I’ve read a few teams liked him, a few teams didn’t.

As long as there aren’t drug, violence, or work ethic concerns...who cares. It’s the media trying to create a story.

I’m a big fan of Anthony Nelson from Iowa. 6’7 guy that killed the 3 cone, broad, vertical, and 20 yard shuttle. Top 5 of all D linemen in those drills.

His bench press # was a little worrisome, but his tape shows his ability to walk back OT’s. Long arms (34 7/8”) tend to hurt bench press ability....

His production consistently improved over his 3 year playing career ending with 31 TFL, 23 sacks, 7 passes deflected, 4 forced fumbles, and a TD.

Reminds me of a quicker, better version of Carl Nassib. Nassib had a slow start to his career in Cleveland (as must do), but slashed his potential last year with Tampa. I think Nelson could be a good strong side DE that gives you a consistent 7-12 sacks a year.
