seemed a bit of a "filler" show but it did give some background and we saw jesus briefly in a flashback.

this was more to setup what is to come. however, we're once again painting the standard cast as the ones who are actually instigating. they went in and killed negans men and then whined at payback.

they didn't want to give the daughter back (not saying not w/o reason, but still not their daughter to keep) and when they finally did, we have a new kid in town who fell in love and wants some more lip. so we go from alpha just wanting her daughter back and will go their own way w/o starting a counter-war for people already killed. she chalked it up to "it happens" in the world. but once again the normal cast can't leave well enough alone and they gotta go confront the "enemy".

all that said, still looking forward for what is to come. i think they've done a good mix of development and advancement this season and i'm enjoying seeing how it comes together.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if any of you fine folks knows of a site where I can watch TWD online for free without any singing up. I have looked but have not found any. I need your help as I am in need of catching up. Thank you.

Expect the Kingdom people to encounter problems tonight with the whisperers. Notice the mark on the sign as they were leaving?

they keep hinting at past problems that divided the communities. did they ever exactly say what that was or about the "X's" on the kidney areas michonne and daryl?

we got to see how big their overall camp is. they seem like native "indians" in that they hold no real place of land to call home but wander where go where the hunting is good. that would make the whole "you came into our land" line a bit awkward i suppose but oh well.

the cult leader talking and hypocrisy from alpha isn't going to wear well over time. i find myself missing the quirkiness of the "up ups" and their neverland broken english.

we need to see more of judith. she has a way of cutting to the point in a manner kids can get away with and michonne can only back up and demand time to regroup once slapped with said honesty from a child. but i think the friendship she and negan hold is key to his rise and negan knows that. but i also firmly believe negan *has* changed and this isn't simply lip service. he's a leader looking for a pack and sooner or later he will get one.

he's a lot more entertaining-crazy than alpha will ever be so i hope the whisperers saga doesn't drag out for the next 3 seasons.

good show last night. still establishing what is to come but not losing time along the way.

Not sure what to make of last nights episode.

The “luster” was knocked off of the “whisperers” for me. They just got very uninteresting.
Weaknand caught are left behind. Except daughter.
Challenge alpha but don’t get to really challenge.
Daughter was working them when caught? Alpha buys it?

Let’s see next week.

the problem is, i don't see how people can get what, 10 years into the zombie apocalypse and still be "weak"? you'd think by now anyone who's survived by nature *is* a survivor.

the daughter ran away with daryl and company so the war one way or another has started. my guess is negan has to save daryl from something to have daryl let go of the past.

I get you... but... IMO still debatable on “no more weak” though.
The strong do/should protect the weak or “less” alpha types. (alpha as in personality not the actual Alpha on show) lol

Tough one to swallow, Daryl/Michonne ... anyone letting go of past.

Let’s see

maybe alpha is really doing a forced distribution and someone *always* has to be the weakest to be killed for effect and show. :)

So far seems kinda weak with some of these storylines. I don't really buy into Gabriel and Rosita falling in love thing, very weird pairing. Henry is still a kid and yes the Kingdom does preach a very idealistic point of view, but hard to believe he's that stupid. Like was mentioned above, this far into a zombie apocalypse there aren't really "weak" people left, or at least people that are naive, even children that has been raised in it and has seen as much death, fighting and killing as a "normal" course of life. The Whisperers had a chance of being pretty cool, but really was a let down now they have been revealed. They're wandering scavengers, with what appears to have limited resources and little to no firepower, the showrunners need to get through this storyline quick.

I agree with the storylines, Alpha and the Whisperers in general.

I visit one of the more popular "TWD" forums and most seem to be pleased as punch over the storylines in this part of season 9 along with Alpha as a leader and villain.

I'm watching it and I'm thinking, "The Governor" was 5x more interesting than Alpha. And as far as the Whisperers go, I think the Wolves and their traps were more interesting.

Maybe compared to the storylines during the "Savior" seasons of 7 & 8, the current storylines are better, but compared to season 3, 4 or 5? No. Not so much.

To me, this is all poorly done imitation of what's been done far better in the past. Alpha isn't as interesting or intimidating as Negan was, and Negan wasn't as interesting or intimidating as the Governor was.

Each of their attempts at making the next "Big Bad" is weaker and more watered down than the last. Every incarnation of the same story is weaker than the last one. And this week's failed 'attempt' to make Alpha look tough was just sad.

And I find it galling that I'm apparently now supposed to accept the fact that a bunch of unarmed scavengers are supposed to pose this 'big threat' to the three communities? Uh, no. And contrary to these writers hopes, I actually remember that those communities have tons of guns, and an ammunition facility to produce more bullets than they need.

This 'war' should have been over as soon as these scrubs poked their heads out of the woods, but instead we get another lather, rinse, repeat, rehash of what's been done again and again, but better in the past.

I thought the whisperers (except for their leadership) were better left as stormtroopers. Once they took off their masks and started talking, they became less interesting.

The Negan seasons had the whole kneeng before Zod thing. I said, ok.

Alpha garroted a head and handed it to dude to hold? Then shanked him.

If this is how it’s always been. Why would you do that? Challenge/not challenge?

That's been her thing from the beginning. They try to make her look tough murdering people who - for some reason - don't fight back whatsoever.

I found Negan way more scary and intimidating than the governor..I think it was just the actor..Jeffrey Morgan is just more of a jerk.

Not believable first time.
Second time either.

You don’t read in context do you.

As in, since she has been leader Alpha dog. Not in the basement.
