High effort guy that plays with his hair on fire constantly.

6’3 256 with 32 3/4” arms isn’t perfect size, but not too small to play DE either.

35 TFL and 13 sacks his JR and SR year combined

His combine was also very good where he needed it to be. 90+% in 40, 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle shows his good/great initial burst and short area quickness. Jumping and bench #’s could have been better though.

Needs a haircut. The Thor look reminds me of dbag Matthews.

I don’t care if he has hot pink hair down to his toes, if he can play like Clay Matthews id be happy to draft him

That's my guy. I'm sure Taco would be thrilled to have a former teammate playing more than him.

Curious how teams view him for the NFL, 3-4 OLB/ 4-3 DE.
I tried to watch some clips of him online but don't really have a solid armchair opinion on him. lol

Aside from round 1 talent the team has no shot at: Josh Allen, Ferrell, Sweat, etc...I like Winovich better than many others. May even be able to put aside the fact he grew up a Steelers fan if he landed in Big D. Actual double-whammy for me, Michigan & the Steelers lol.

Would ideally like to see more length...but he seems to disengage/shed fairly well. Marinelli & the gang are sure to like his high effort as well, but don't think he should be pigeonholed into that classification...he has some nice attributes other than his hustle.

What round does he project? Maybe 3rd?

Yeah length definitely isn’t ideal, however D Law is the same height with only 1” difference in arm length. I really don’t see that making or breaking a guys career.
And yes it’s unfortunate, but you see a white kid with long hair playing DE the way Winovich does and he tends to get pigeonholed into “just a high effort guy.” I think he put that to rest with the #’s he put up at the combine.

I’m thinking we’d have to take him with our 2nd...it’s still way early but doesn’t seem likely for a guy like him to make it to the end of the 3rd

Not arguing for or against Winovich with this post because I honestly haven’t watched the games you mentioned....

But what players do you think will be available at 58 that don’t have any bad tape...especially at a prememium position?

they all have bad tape.
one guy I like...who seemed to show-up in big games...Clemson DE Austin Bryant.I didnt watch EVERY Clemson game...but when I did he always seemed to show-up.
ALL these guys have games and stretches that are bad tho.

I like a lot about Winovich--his production in a Power Five conference, his athleticism. The biggest negative about him is his age. He will be 24 in April.

Overhyped player, overhyped head coach, and the best QB in the 2019 NFL draft.

I think he’s a solid run defender but a pedestrian pass rusher.

The athleticism was surprising, and I want to go back and watch him more.
