Hopefully it makes him fall to 58...I think he has a chance to be a force if he puts it all together

I am not all that excited to draft a player with our first pick who will be sidelined until at least June.

Tillery is interesting, but that kind of risk is something you do for a player who was elite when healthy.

This is silly. If he were elite, an injury that doesn’t keep him out of his 1st training camp doesn’t drop him out of the 1st, let alone to 58

I hear what you’re saying but I don’t think you change your draft strategy because you don’t have a 1st round pick. I don’t think we HAVE to skip taking a guy because he’s injured. Let’s be honest, if we’re counting on pick 58 to be an immediate contributor we are probably in trouble anyway.

And for the record I don’t think Tillery is a slam dunk, can’t miss prospect or anything. There could easily be a better prospect available. Consistency is definitely not his strong suit. At times he looks like a 1st round pick, and others he looks like a 4th.

I disagree. 1st and 2nd rounders need to be able to contribute right away.

And it says he'll be ready for training camp...

So we likely still won't have a shot at him. Dude's a freaking monster...if he slides run to the podium.

Tillery's issue is consistency as noted but he was a big reason ND's defense was very much improved the last couple of seasons. At times he was good inside, other times, dominant.

If Marinelli is this DL guru that everyone claims he still is, he should be able to turn Tillery into a stud 3 Tech.
