Haha well it was exciting to read, definitely different from any other mock and the draft never goes the way anyone predicts, so who knows?

I don’t think that many QBs go in the first round or that many teams trade up to get them. Tyree Jackson will have to wait another 100 picks or so to hear his name called, but I would love to get Ed Oliver for sure. Draftniks are undervaluing the fact that he dominated for years despite being double and triple teamed. He’s my favorite player in the draft and should go top 5.
Yes Oliver is very good, but teams overthink at times and a good player drops for no reason. Oliver being 6'-2",280 lbs might make teams look to all the other DTs in the draft who are heavier and with him not running, some teams will forget about him.

People were saying that about Patrick Mahomes and right before the draft his name was the hot name.Look at Tyree Jackson's highlights above. He has a lot of good stuff going for him. You sit him and let him be the understudy for a year and Jackson could be a good starter.... They sat Mahomes also for a year so he could grasp what they wanted him to do correctly.

I like Tyree as well, but he's a long ways behind Mahomes prospect wise. His accuracy comes in spurts and his low completion percentage backs it up. His size, arm strength and athleticism are intriguing but there have been quite a few QB in the past few years that have failed with similar combos. My biggest problems with him are his slow release and how he stares down his targets. He's got a lot of tools but he'll take a lot of work and ultimately might end up playing TE in the league if he wants to stick around. Also I think sitting QBs is overrated, you learn more in a game than on the bench just depends on if you have the attitude to learn from early failures. If Alex Smith wasn't in KC and they weren't winning Mahomes would've played his rookie year and would be just as good today.

Jackson reminds me more of Logan Thomas than Mahomes.

I disagree. Dan Marino sat for 10 games and John Elway started as a rookie and Dan Reeves had to pull him saying "I almost got him killed".... Some QBs can,but others need to see what to watch out for. before being thrown into the fire.

That was a different era, can’t hit the QB like they used to. Some teams still believe in this philosophy and I agree Tyree isn’t ready to play now, but I also don’t think he’ll be ready to be a starter two seasons from now either. His highlights do indeed look good, but go watch him every down on some of the Tyree vs Temple or any team and you come away with a better picture of what you’re actually getting. If you’re picking a guy in the top 10 and he’s not going to be ready to play in his first year at all, maybe you should reconsider. Late picks are for developmental guys.

45-Falcons-Dre'Mont Jones DT Ohio State

46-Jets-Jaylin Ferguson OLB Louisiana Tech

47-Panthers-Michael Jackson CB Miami

48-49ers-Beau Benzschawel OG Wisconsin

49-Browns-D'Andre Walker OLB Georgia

50-Vikings-Deionte Thompson S Alabama

51-Titans-Chase Winovich OLB Michigan

52-Steelers-Juan Thornhill S Virginia

53-Eagles-Marquise Brown WR Oklahoma

54-Texans-David Edwards OT Wisconsin

55-Texans-Cody Ford OG Okalhoma

56-Patriots-Taylor Rapp S Washington

57-Eagles-David Long OLB West Virginia

***58-Cowboys-Justin Hollins(6'-5",248 lbs)DE Oregon
Reason-Randy Gregory & David Irving have put us in a bind and we need to look for another edge rusher. With Demarcus Lawrence probably the most prized free agent out there and Taco Charlton a questionmark and not even counting on Dorance Armstrong to be anything special. We need to get another edge rusher with elite speed. Hollins ran a 4.50 forty. Little raw,but hopefully he blossoms like players like Daniel Hunter & Ziggy Ansah. Good athletes but were raw coming into the NFL.

3rd Round

TRADE Cardinals trade the 65th pick and trade back the Cowboys 3rd round pick(Cards 2 3rd round picks)
65-Cardinals-TRADE to Cowboys receive LB Sean Lee,Tavon Austin,Rico Gathers, and Allen Hurns and 3rd in 2020

65-Cowboys-Bryce Love(5'-10",196 lbs) RB Stanford

Reason-We need a change of pace RB to give Elliott a breather. Love might be there at the top of the 3rd round.

90-Amani Hooker(6'-0",203 lbs)S Iowa
Reason-Could use a challenger to both safety positions.Hooker I do believe could end up a starter by 2020.Ran a 4.48 forty at the Combine

5th Round

165-Cowboys-Kavontae Turpin(5'-8",166 lbs)WR TCU

Reason-Turpin is another weapon that should be ideal for us in punt returns and insurance because Cole Beasley is most likely a free agent casualty.Turpin is very fast and should be a exciting weapon

6th Round

200-Cowboys-Cody Barton(6'2",237 lbs) MLB Utah
Reason-He becomes depth and special teams. Ran well at the Combine 4.64 forty,30 reps of 225 lbs,Last season had 116 tackles,10.5 tackles for loss,4 sacks,1 INT, 6 pass breakups

7th Round

242-Cowboys-Xavier Ubosi(6'-3",215 lbs)WR Alabama-Birmingham
Reason-He has a big frame and could stick to the roster and become the big possesion receiver

FREE AGENT SIGNINGS

-Shawn Oakman DE Baylor

Marcus Baugh TE Ohio State(AAF-San Diego Fleet)

2019 NFL Mock Draft

1-Cardinals-TRADE to Giants .Cards receive Giants 2019 1st,2nd,4th and 2020 1st ,2nd, & 6th

1-Giants-Dwayne Haskins QB(6'-3",231 lbs) Ohio State.
Reason for this pick-Haskins grew up a Giants fan and Giants need a QB to groom behind Manning who is in his final year of his contract and his career.

2-49ers- TRADE to Dolphins.49ers receive 2019 1st,2nd 7th and 2020 1st & 4th and Devante Parker

2-Dolphins-Drew Lock(6'-4",228 lbs)QB Missouri
Reason for this pick- Dolphins are one of several teams in the hunt for a QB.Not sure 49ers want to trade to Broncos or Commanders after how his Father got seen the door.

3-Jets-TRADE to Commanders receive 2019 1st,3rd and 2020 2nd & 4th

3-Commanders- Daniel Jones QB (6'-5",221 lbs) Duke
Reason-Have to get a QB because not sure Alex Smith is healthy enough to play football anymore. Also Smith is at the end of his career also.Is this pick too high? Yeah but teams are desperate for QBs

4-Raiders-D. K. Metcalf(6'-3",228 lbs)WR Mississippi
Reason-How many times do a Calvin Johnson type player come along. The guy is The Total Package.

5-Buccaneers-Montez Sweat(6'-6",260 lbs)DE Mississippi State
Reason-Another freak of nature who ran a 4.41 forty at 260 lbs???Had 11.5 sacks in 2018

6-Cardinals-TRADE to Bengals receive 2019 1st 3rd and 2020 2nd a& 5th

6-Bengals-Kyler Murray(5'-10",217 lbs)QB Oklahoma
Reason-Andy Dalton is just an average QB. Need to excite fans with an alternative to the Statue Dalton.Bengals need to get ahead of Jaguars and Broncos.

7-Jaguars-Rashan Gary(6'-4",277 lbs) DE Michigan
Reason-Jags now sign Nic Foles to be their QB after the draft falls this way.Gary is not a bad consolation prize. The guy runs a 4.5 forty at almost 280 lbs is incredible. Heir apparent to Calais Campbell who is 32 years old and not getting any younger.

8-Bills- Josh Allen(6'-5",262 lbs)DE Kentucky
Reason-Desperately need youthful pass rushers .Allen had 17 sacks in 2018.

9-Lions-Brian Burns(6'-5",249 lbs)DE Florida State
Reason-need someone better than Kerry Hyder off the edge. Burns runs a 4.53 forty and had 10 sacks in 2018

10-Broncos -Tyree Jackson(6'-7",249 lbs)QB Buffalo
Reason-WHAT???? WHO?? Yeah but this guy has the ability to become a special player.Reminds me of Daunte Culpepper.Has a rocket for an arm and can beat you with his legs. . Jackson is raw and he sits as the understudy behind another tall QB in Joe Flacco until he is ready to takeover. Most likely in mid 2020.
Nick Bosa outside the top 10?

Xavier Ubosi ran a 4.5 forty at his pro day. At 6'-3",215 lbs that is good enough. Looked up his stats for 2018...35 rec for 837 yards 23.9 yard per average with 8 TDs

Better highlights for Cody Barton. Guy was a former safety. Not great highlights but he has potential to be special teams and a backup.
