The more I look at this class the more I like us having a great opportunity to get good value on a starting caliber player...or 2. It's not top heavy, as I don't think there's a sure fire 1st rounder, but man there is a ton of quality talent in rounds 2-4.

Abram
Thompson
Adderly
Thornhill
CGJ
Rapp
Savage
Hooker

It's interesting bc each guy is a little different and provides a different type of skill set, but seeing how weak we are at S I like just about everyone as an upgrade over what we have.

Heard on the radio DAL is looking more towards a FS, so those are the guys I'll look at moreso until ET signs.

However, I see a couple guys worthy of pushing X. Woods to SS: Adderly, Thornhill and Rapp. Also, idk what position Savage is labeled I'd take him.

I agree this is a year where there's quality from 2-4, so they really should go get a guy.

If you want a single high FS, I don’t think this is your draft. Adderley and Savage night be it...maybe Thompson.

Most of these dudes are more downhill players kenzone guys.

I am ready to see how we attack FA, although the moves we've made so far is not too exciting with keeping Lee and Hurns.

We've been keeping on depth which is nice, and Hurns can be a solid BIG slot. I'd love to see Wilson take over the #3, but with the Hurns signing we at least have a proven vet and don't have to draft a WR this year.

I just don't know how much we have to spend in FA if the priority is to extend our core guys. That might be why we're being so quiet.

Outside of Tank none of them are dew this year, so I think we go and do what the Rams did last year signing Suh to a 1 year deal maybe bring in a couple guys on decent sized contracts to fill in the blanks that come off the books next year and try to address those holes in the draft over a 2 year draft cycle.

Deals given to guys like Suh, Tre Boston from last year are something we should explore doing this year in order to beef the teams starters and depth while we are still on a rookie deal for Dak.

I'm open to that, but Tank should be priority #1. And the longer we wait with Dak, likely the more expensive he becomes. I don't think he deserves top dollar, but he deserves and extension and he's going to get a ton.

Problem with one year deals, is most quality players aren't going to take them unless it's a "prove it" year for someone coming of an injury.

If we sign the guy now or later the money will be due when the new contract starts so it doesn't matter.

Malik Jackson, Hankins are 2 guys who would probably be looking for prove it deals and wouldn't be extremely expensive. Let the market wear itself down, and that when we come in to play. I am convinced with how deep the draft is along the d-line that market is going be stale in FA.

Jackson is aging and his performance is on a steady decline. Not sure about Hanks, but have always loved the player.

What are your thoughts on Hooker?

I know the concern was athletic ability based on tape, but he had a good combine and his eyes and instincts are off the charts. My only question is how much zone do we play? He's best suited in that type of scheme and I wish we had access to knowing how much zone vs single high? If it's fairly balanced, I want a guy like that on my team.

TBH haven't had the chance to watch a ton of tape on these guys but from what I remember he was a guy being discussed as a guy who might be a LB, so that's not really what I'm looking for in a S. I will watch some tape later tonight.

What I'm looking for is versatility in a S and that's why I like Tell and Thornhill they both can play either S position and also can provide support against the run. Tell might not be able to play in the box right now but I think he will be able to grow into the role if needed.

I'm on the fence on Tell, need to watch him more.

I love CJG, Rapp and Thornhill and Abram as those do it all types.

I understand the hesitancy with Tell, but he was apart a very poorly coached USC team with one of the worst DB coaches in college football. I think he has one of the highest ceiling in this draft class of all positions especially under Kris Richard.

I think Woods has some position flex to play FS or SS depending on the guy we may draft.

Savage, Rapp, and Abram would be great picks at 58 and all of them have different skill sets. Pair any of them with Woods and I feel a hell of a lot better about our safety tandem.
