Earl isn't elite anymore
Earl is too old
Earl is overrated
Which one of these will be used by the fanbase to excuse the Cowboys lack of success in FA?:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

If we paid him 18 per year, would you gripe about that too?

I wouldn’t love that number. But I’d rather gripe about the number and have ET. The approach of not overpaying for free agents is a good one. But sometimes you break the rules for impact players. ET would have brought a winning attitude and leadership to a young team.

Lawrence, because he only showed up for 8 games. And if he wants BIG money for that...then give me that old, washed up, terrible has-been safety who had 2 INTs against us last season, who has chemistry with Richard and can lead a secondary.

That's really funny. Lawrence who on several pre free agency lists was ranked NUMBER 1 top free agent and you would let him go for an INJURY prone 30 year old safety that very well would be doing his you rah rah from the sidelines watch another safety play because he's hurt again. BTW Lawrence started 15 games and played in all 16 plus the playoffs with a bad shoulder.

Do you do a standup routine in comedy clubs too.

never for a second did I ever think ET would be a cowboy. the deal made no sense for us. our own players who require new deals are more important to the team than the aging Thomas.

I do have a couple comedy acts, where I act like a casual fan, like you. It goes over pretty well; people laugh.

the players can say what they want but the main thing they want is money every thing else is secondary if they want to have a chance at a championship the team that they will take less money to play with is the pats

Jerry is so obtuse he doesn't get his decisions are why it's so difficult to reach the Super Bowl.

Jerry, your ego ain't your amigo.

Then you should really love this upcoming season, when this team craters again and everyone gets fired.

And some fans will still have the nerve to ask "why"?

Looking over what other teams have done in the division and they haven't knocked my socks off. We'll see where we are at August 31st.

I would have liked ET but that was an expensive contract. I would have passed on that as well. While we need to upgrade, we don't need to upgrade "at all cost". This was a smart move by the FO.
Please don’t use smart move and our FO in the same sentence.

It seems that The Cowboys new goal is to be 20-25 million under the cap at the end of every season.

I love some ET, but that's a ton of money.

The FO must believe that the guys we need to resign are going to be a buttload of cash - and they're probably right.

What's most disappointing to me is that our core guys are under rookie contracts and we'll lose that goodness going forward. Our window isn't closed, but we definitely missed an opportunity to surround them with talent.

I admit I wasn't as sold on ET as a lot of people were but I also admit this is pretty embarrassing

Dallas could have lived with that contract and he would have been a big help to our young defense and helped in more ways than just his play. Cowboys have become cheap and honestly its pretty pathetic.

No...with all due respect (not really) most every word of your post is dead wrong. Have a nice day though.
