I’m sure you don’t.

They didn’t lowball Beasley so much as decided he’s not getting a 3rd contract unless the market rejected him, which obviously didn’t happen.

I wasn’t down on $14MM per for Thomas, regardless. Though $11MM was looking pretty good to me.
Here is the deal though. If they were willing to trade a second and pay $10-$11 per year, how is $14 too rich if you don’t have to spend the pick?

$3 million of $188 million cap is more important to them than a second round pick?

Even you have to question that decision making.

If ET has screws and plates in his leg at his age, I wouldn't touch him at that price. I see he has a rod inserted and its usually anchored with screws., Im iffy on that as he is probably going to have good days and bad days. And if he ever has to play in Green Bay in January....

Glad that's over and the Cowboys didn't overpay for the player. Ravens did.

I cant figure that out either. I used to think they were being responsible with the cap. Im starting to believe they are just cheap. Lol

Year after year we see how these big contracts signed early in free agency do not pan out as expected. They simply do not move the needle the desired amount for their respective clubs.
Google Stephon Gilmore and get back to me on how free agents never move the needle for their respective clubs.

Maybe there are still some health concerns that we're not aware of, afterall Earl did miss most of last season with a season ending injury.

Well we haven’t improved. Lost Beasley, Wilson, Gregory. So three starters. Going to be tough to fill that via draft
Still some quality free agents out there if we choose to go that route. Im not totally sure Gregory will miss any games this season.

The Cowboys are a cash cow, they have an infinite supply of cash to pay out. $22m in the first year is very easily (even likely) a $20 signing bonus prorated over 4 years and a 2 million dollar salary. That's a $7m cap hit. So no, it doesn't matter.

Yes, it does matter to the point the previous poster was trying to make.

That is, yes, it might be just $32m guaranteed, but $22m of that is going into his pocket almost immediately, meaning a whole lot of that $55m is likely to end up in his pocket regardless... he's not going to be cut in the first two years, and probably not in the first three.

We love our guys, were okay with 8-8. No indications of Dallas doing anything while other competitors improve. What a waste.

Dont worry we are signing players

I wanted him...but not at that price.
just sign Lawrence.

Yeah too rich for me as well. I'm all in on the DL getting fixed from here out. Would've loved a play making safety of course but there is a lot to fix.
