I always said two things about Tony on the old site. 1. He was not a leader. 2. He suffered the "glitch". I have never changed my opinion. What I do not like about the Woodson/Hatcher comments is neither had the cajones to say so while they played with him.

They might have said it and we never heard about it.

But... He..... Played... With..... Romo.... Not one person on these boards has tho. So you expect me to take your word? Hahahahaha!!! Your joking, right?
Take my word for what? You can look up Hatcher's stats. As I said, Romo carried the defense for most of his career. Hatcher is just trying to defend himself against the loser he was and apparently is.

Hatcher played with the cowboys during the Romo era. Am I correct? Did you or anyone you know personally play on those teams? So why would a defensive lineman make up a lie about a quarterback after both of their careers are done? Why is is so difficult to believe what a former teammate says? Because it’s a negative statement? LMAO. If it were positive you wouldn’t question it at all.

This entire thread (which I haven't read one word) is nothing but blah....blah...blah...blah...

Never mind taking responsibility for being part of a half *** defense that never held up their part of the bargain. Blame everybody else. If Hatcher did his job as well as the QB (94.6 playoff rating) we might've won some more playoff games.

They were all acquired by other teams to be a number one option. None of them were actually built that way. They were only good with Romo as #2s and #3s. We had TO and Witten demeaning all the extra attention. Any professional WR should be able to eat against single coverage vs #3-4 cbs, safeties and linebackers. Again.... That’s nothing special.

Crayon and Robinson were not acquired to be number 1 receivers and TO at 34 years old had one of his best seasons ever under romo. Dez Bryant was put in position to succeed also by Tony romo. Dak has yet to make anyone look better. Hell he crapped the bed when zeke was suspended

Got this from a quick Google search:
Romo holds several Cowboys team records, including passing touchdowns, passing yards, most games with at least 300 passing yards, and games with three or more touchdown passes. He also held a higher passer rating in the fourth quarter than any other NFL quarterback from 2006 to 2013.

Good old Hatcher has what?

Sounds like he was talented enough to make pass-catchers appear much better than they were, but the team wasn't exactly enamored with him, as an individual, and those things do have an effect.

Only how I'm interpreting things said...

Edit: I meant teammate, not individual.
Right no I in Team :lmao:

I do not agree the team wasn't exactly enamored with him. How many players have trashed him out of the massive amount of teammates he's had over his career? Remember when Terrell Owens cried and said Romo was his QB?

A third rate DL stirred up a barrel of caca to get attention, that is all this is about.

A lot of guys weren’t. He’s not referencing the 2015 or 2014 Cowboys. He’s referencing those other teams that underachieved year after year.
Least of all because of Romo, Witten, or Ware

It's interesting to look back and see what Hatcher wanted from a coaching staff.

His own words after he joined the Commanders in 2014:

“Every coach has a different approach, but there’s a lot of things different here,” Hatcher said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “I don’t want to go into details about it because I don’t want to get blamed like, ‘Oh, he said this about Dallas…’

“They really take care of the veteran guys. They give us more say-so over the team. This is our team. The head coach don’t want to be policing the team. This is our team, so when we set the foundation for this football team, the way it’s supposed to go, that’s the way it’s supposed to go, through the players and not the coaches. It’s a players team, so whatever we say goes, pretty much, if it’s going in the right direction.”

I laughed at that part about Dak making other players better but Romo didn’t as well.
hatcher didnt say it right, but what he meant is players will try harder for dak than they did or would for romo.
Romo was the better qb, but he didnt handle the players as well as dak, and that is why he lost his job to dak.
Even his bud witten was for dak more than romo in 2016.
That is why romo threw a big party and invited all the players , in a effort to win them back, but it was too late
they wanted to play with dak more than romo.

and glad to hear someone say that JG sabotaged wade, something I always thought happened.

I mean all of this is stupid and false, but go ahead and knock yourself out...

The idea that rookie Dak was some great leader is pretty laughable. His job was to hand off and get out of the way... maybe now he may have enough cred to lead a bit, but the only place he has proven he can lead players so far is to the suspension list.
