Are you serious? How many winning seasons, divisions won, playoff games won Vs Dallas. GTFOH

I never thought I'd see the day when Cowboys fans were good with moral victories. Satisfied with winning seasons, or division titles. The things that we used to crucify Commander, Eagle, and Giants fans for when they'd throw those types of achievements up when we were winning REAL Championships. It's a sad day.

Let's just the Dawg pound is back and CLE will get its share of primetime games. Mayfield and those WRs, my goodness, should be fun to watch.

This, you play to win the SB, anything less is like kissing your sister and just getting in pecking order for the draft.

I'll believe it when I see it.
I am a fan of Mayfield but NOTHING is won in March or April.
and we've seen this before....teams like the browns....or lions.....or miami....supposedly "got better"......only to end up where they started.
3/5yrs we've won our division and were a 4th down stop away from a chance to pull out the rams game.
yes...we're better than the browns.

IMO Yes, but I don't think the Browns acquisitions makes them an immediate Super Bowl contender. Still very youthful, and lots of egos in that Browns locker room.

The Cowboys could have made three moves so far that might have put the team over the top, and instead we get a garbage FB who never plays, a TE that thought he was done playing, a TE that has never played, and a swing tackle re-up.

Good times.

I’m amused by so many of the responses to this thread. It was a simple question with no agenda- Have the Browns passed us in roster talent?

I wasn’t predicting our demise, I wasn’t cheering for the brownies, or even saying we won’t be better than them next year. Just wondered what our fans here thought about where we stand vs the brownies roster. It’s been fun seeing the variety of opinions. But it’s also clear that some of our fellow fans didn’t like the question....lol.

In the midst of the offseason, and even before the 2019 draft, the Cleveland Browns are emerging as a serious contender in the AFC for 2019. I’m not a big Odell Beckham fan but I recognize the guy has talent and the Browns trade to get him has certainly raised some eyebrows.

And the Browns should have a lot of talent. When you colossally suck for over a decade you have a chance to add some talent in the draft.

So here’s my question Cowboys fans....have the brownies passed us in the chase for NFL talent? If we matched up with them now, who would have the edge? Are the Browns closer to a SB than Dallas? I’m not going to do every position- just the positions we are looking at locking up long term as our top talent compared to the Browns.

Let’s look at the Browns top talent compared to ours:
Position Which team has the edge?
QB- Baker Mayfield vs. Dak Prescott (Cle)
RB- Nick Chubb vs. Zeke Elliott. (Dal)
WR- Odell Jr. vs Amari Cooper. ( Cle? Push?)
Pass Rusher-Miles Garrett vs Tank Lawrence (Push?)

So what say you Cowboys fans....are the Browns passing us in talent?
Well chubb took several long runs to the house last season, so I have to say he is doing better than feed me boy.
Mayfield is better than dak
I would rather have amari, but he is alone, odell will have another good wideout and better qb.
Miles garrett is better.
I was interested in cleveland last year, had they started off with baker they might have made the playoffs,
They should and could make playoffs this season.
Just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

I hate to say it as much as you do but the Browns are better and that's on the field, on the sideline and in the front office
I have no reason to even care about the Browns (OBJ being out the division is what Cowboys fans should care about). Im just speaking factually when I say....no one knows what the Browns are going to look like on the field next season. No one knows if their QB is going to have a sophomore slump. No one knows if Kareem Hunt is going to play or if he was a product of Reids scheme. No one knows....

If they turn out not to be just paper champions then kudos to everyone involved. But Ive seen enough football to not be surprised if the Browns are drafting top 10 in 2020.

Mayfield, Chubb, Landry and OBJ are a lot better than our offensive skilled players. The glaring standout is at the QB position. Then they have two #1 wide receivers to our one. Dallas has the better RB, but that's not going to make up the difference. The offensive line will dictate that. I'm not sure where they stand there.

Well I don't know if Amari is capable of being as good as OBJ... but he is far more intelligent lol.

They have us beat at QB, and receiving corp... With a QB that doesn't second guess anything. He pulls the trigger... Whether it is good or bad... it will win them a lot of games now.
But, it is also unfair to judge our receiving corp's true ability with a run first offense, and a second guessing, ball holding QB.

LB not even close... Dallas all the way
OL still Dallas all the way
Myles hasn't shown he is truly better than DLAW in my opinion.

I think its a pretty even matchup.

Offense:
RB: Chubb or Hunt------------------Zeke Dallas
QB: Mayfield--------------------------Dak Pretty even
WR: OBJ, Landry, Callaway------Cooper, Hurns, Gallup Cleveland
OT: Harrison, Robinson----------Collins, Smith Dallas
OG: Bitoni, Corbett------------------Martin, Williams Dallas
OC: Tretter-----------------------------Frederick Dallas
TE: Njoku------------------------------Witten Cleveland

Cleveland has much better depth

Defense:
DE: Garrett, Vernon-------------Lawrence, Crawford Cleveland
DT: Richardson, Davis---------Collins, Woods Edge to Cleveland both underwhelming
LB: Kirksey, Shobert-----------Smith, Van Der Esch Dallas
S: Randall, Calhoun------------Heath, Woods Edge to Dallas, both underwhelming
CB: Ward, Carrie----------------Jones, Awuzie Dallas

Cleveland much better depth on D-line, Dallas better depth in secondary

Cleveland has twice the cap space available and similar draft picks so could afford to sign a couple of quality draft picks which would put them over the edge. It's close enough though that it comes down to coaching . They badly need a corner and free safety, we badly need a DT and safety.

We lose then if coaching decides it, see enough in 10 years to know that.

Baker is hands down better than Dak!
Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are better than Elliott and Rod Smith!
Odell and Landry are better than Cooper and Gallup!
Miles Garrett has a slight edge on Lawrence!

Vegas Oddsmakers have this
Cleveland 14-1 to win a SB
Cleveland 7-1 to win AFC championship

Dallas 20-1 to win SB
Dallas 10-1 to win NFC championship

I think Odell is better than Cooper but i understand the "Push:" what i would add is Landry vs Gallop (Clev gets the edge)
and i think NJOKU is a superior TE to anybody we have on our roster including Witten he is 22 going into his 3rd season and last year he caught 56 passes with 4 TD"s and 11.4 YPC
Cleveland has far surpassed us in talent

Naw, I don't think so.
just looking at your comparisons it shows we got them at each of those positions.

That's the Steelers problem...lol
