i dont have any issue with passing on the fa safeties.
the 30 yr old hawks fa was just injured too often.
can probably get a decent one in the 2nd or 3rd round and should probably take another one later in the draft.

for fa this year, only pressure dl interests me.
for de other than dlaw, it would be clark also of the hawks who was also franchised - who is worth keeping an eye on.
perhaps a trade of dlaw for clark is possible if things get ugly.

the one player who is interesting is suh.
he is also still available.
i know he took plays off during the regular season.
but what really matters is the postseason.
not sure what it would take...

Suh will cost way too much. Think much cheaper and more rotational guys.

u need dominant players to win championships.
we are not getting one in round 2 and later for dl in most likelihood
dlaw is not enough and his performance suffers later in a season.
gregory is gone
irving retired and would be suspended if he unretires

Wonder if Jernigan was asking too much at first. Surprised he's still on the market unless he's the next Bennie Logan who will bounce on one year deals for a bit.

I think with HaHa signing for 3.5mil, it could be a sign that the remaining safeties may need to play the one year deal again.

i dont think cowboys will pay much for any of the remaining s.
they probably think they can draft one in 2nd or 3rd that is better.
there would be rookie learning, but it really matters in the playoffs after a whole season of experience.

Yup way I see it too.

But who knows, I could see a guy like George I come in on a 1 year deal and then draft a guy as well.

Heath is an ufa next year and they may just give his role to Frazier/rookie for 2020.

Why we have never seem interested blows my mind

i am sure they will draft at least 1 s - as they always like to draft 1 year ahead of a player they will not resign after fa.
they did not lose any safeties this year, so there is no dire need beyond the churning and drafting.

Isn't Clark franchised too? Hmmm. If so we could flip DLaw for Clark plus a pick get a year out of clark on the FT, get say a 2nd to boot on this trade and maybe a 3rd comp pick the following year?

I'd do cartwheels if we got Suh...well....maybe not...but in my mind I will be.
I'd LOVE Suh in Big D.

Word is the Rams were not happy with Suh's performance in the regular season last year. He turned it on once the playoffs started, but in the end that wasn't enough to convince them not to move on.

Once again I will say it: Buyer Beware.

I would like to see Timmy at 1tech rotating with #99.

if the team is not good enough to get to playoffs with suh at 80%, then it is pointless.
only need him at 100% for playoffs

If Dallas signs Suh and he doesn't play hard in the regular season; the Cowboys struggle on defense. We don't have Aaron Donald lining up next to him.

For a player of Suh's caliber to get just 3.5 sacks last year playing next to a generational talent like Donald raises some red flags for me.

suh is a living red flag
need a difference maker in the playoffs
the rest is moot

"30 yr old" ... "took plays off" ...

that's called a money trap

he made a diff vs our injured OGs ... then disappeared vs NO and NE

is that what you mean?

dude, over priced 30yo football players are rarely a value

Smarter and far cheaper to pay for safeties in FA and draft DE high.
