I suck at pass rush therefore I suck in pass rush situations. I am not in pass rush situations therefore I suck at pass rush. Repeat
This. Did it ever occur to him that he wasn't in on Nickle downs because he isn't good at pass rushing?

Too early to call it a bad pick.

We weren't doing cartwheels over Tank Lawrence until about year 4 or 5.

He had his years of being a jag too.
For a first rounder he is already considered a bust whether he works out or not. I don’t care much for his attitude but I don’t blame it on him, I blame it on the FO or McClay or whoever the hell is making these decisions.

I disagree..

If you don't like his attitude that is fine but Defensive Ends take years to develop except in special cases so he could still very well be a quality defensive end for us.

The problem is if Randy Gregory somehow plays he will never get the opportunity.

With Zeke behaving, Beasley gone and the Purple Drank fellow long gone, Dallas needs a new village idiot. Taco looks like he can grab that.

We saw those flashes of potential in his second year. Taco just looks slow, plays slow, and many times I don't even know he's out there

He could be but I expect anyone taken in the first to be a decent starter by their second year. He better turn it on this year otherwise the majority of his rookie contract has been a complete waste making him a bust for a first rounder.

Taco has been decent. Especially when Randy Gregory is taking away all of his money down snaps.

IT's the position. Instant impact guys at D End are rare.

He may very well be the bust that everyone is projecting but 90% of this board hated Demarcus Lawrence at one point too and thought he was a jag. It took him 4 or 5 years to start playing to his potential and he and Taco got picked in the same area. LAte first early 2nd.

I don't think Taco is that good. But I have no faith in this coaching staff either. So idk who to believe.

He was injured year one, and had 8 sacks in year two.

Taco had 1 sack in year two.

The two players arrows are headed in totally opposite directions.

And I don't recall Lawrence getting benched either.

When you watch Taco, there really is no comparison in explosion and agility like Gregory.

Taco is what he is and I know everyone likes to make the Lawrence comparison with him, but Lawrence showed way more than Taco has by this point in their careers. Lawrence was trending up, Taco flatlined or went down, especially when he got de-activated because he was so bland.

If we can get a decent backup out of him at this point, I'd call that a win and let him walk after his contract expires. the bigger issue is that we don't have a starting DE to pair with Lawrence. And for that reason, I hope I am way wrong on Taco and he really is about to explode.

Marinelli special for sure.

His fault the pick wasn't Watt. Time for the old man to go. The game passes everyone by eventually, he should ask his boss Monte Kiffin about that.

But you can't just look at Taco's production.

His original post is correct when he talks about the situations he was put on the field.

Randy Gregory is just better then him. I don't know what else to say. So of course he won't have those opportunities and his sack total will be low.
