We need a Safety

And what happens if the draft comes, there is a run on safeties and the ones you like at 58 go by the wayside? Do you trade up with the limited picks you have? Do you then reach for a safety with a lower grade? Do you wait until the 3rd or 4th round where a lesser prospect likely be? Or do you just say, "Oh well, we have Heath so it's all good!"

This logic that we can't try to improve our starting safeties now because we will just draft one is so preposterous that it makes perfect sense that's probably the thinking of this bizarre franchise.

Jeff Heath is your starter. Learn to love it
If I were you guys, I would wait and see who they draft. If Taylor Rapp is there at 58, they very well might draft him and he is good.

According to sources, the Cowboys are talking details of a 1 year deal with this guy.

No.. seriously. Heath is trash. We desperately need a safety and all of the good possibilities are drying up.
No seriously he is not trash. He actually ranked not too far off of Harrison Smith but people around here like to rip the guy and give him **** for nothing.

I never wanted Earl Thomas. But silly me, I really thought the team would make a play for Adrian Amos. A 25-year old safety with a huge upside would have been perfect with this young, aggressive defense.

For whatever reason, the Cowboys’ FO didn’t see it that way. If they’re passing on a guy like Amos, then they’re standing pat at safety.

Bing bing bing

Including one of worst tackling safeties in league.

So, not literally bottom 3-5 as you literally said but never did verify.

I think the correct term, at least in America, is ding, ding, ding.

I wonder how many players below Heath can say they single handedly won
an NFL game like Heath did on back to back plays in Oakland a couple years ago.
He'd be a hero if someone else could've covered a GB TE a few years back.

Like I said before, I get it. The position needs to be upgraded. We should leave it at that.

Someone in here said Heath was ranked as the 81st saftey according to the almighty PFF.
Either Harrison Smith had a horrible season or somebody's info is bad... lol.

THAT guy is just a Jeff Heath "hater"...

I hope Jeff Heath signs an extension and he gets paid good money..

If you haters don't like it, go cheer for another team because our GM is all in on Heath..

YOU SEE HOW stupid it is to support a JAG just because he is a Cowboy?

We could become legit contenders if we upgraded a couple spots like safety and QB but I guess Jeff Heath isn't a leader and winner, so he gets ran out of town..

Weird how that works.

So Heath didn't miss a crucial tackle on Goff? Was I dreaming?

Heath is garbage. Worst tackler I have seen, not including CBs, in a long time. Always at the shoulders, always takes bad angles, always chasing. The guy sucks. Big mystery why people defend the guy.

Technically for starters, I think his missed tackles would rank him in bottom 5. There was one of those stat tweets that showed this, I believe.

Couldn’t haven’t been PFF. They had Harrison Smith ranked 14th.

There is zero comparison between the two safeties. Zero.

Where did he rank not too far off Harrison Smith?

Well, can you provide anything that verifies that?
So far, all I'm getting is opinion from two guys on a fan board that don't like him.

I will give you credit for not saying he's "literally bottom 3-5" which is what the other one wrote.
