Cool story.

But we weren't on his watch and he's run out of genius college roommates. It's been 23 years.

And again, it'd be tough for any fan to do worse than that idiot.

Super macho know-it-all types are hilarious, with their tough guy talk. Since you’ve got it all figured out, why not apply for the job and fix us? Oh wait, you’re not a Cowboy fan, are you? Why aren’t you over at eagles.com?

As someone who has never seen us even in the NFCC, I can say that I would do a much worse job than Jerry. Yes, there are players I like, but I bet I'd be sacked within 2 years max.

Yes, they were. The OL was falling apart late in the 09 season already, and we addressed it by trading up for Bryant. They let it completely fall apart before finally starting to throw 1st rounders at it.

Think, dude, don't just make proclamations because you want to.
They also tried rb by group, after letting murray go, when that didnt work, they drafted elliot.

And yet they still have the largest fan base, are the most valuable, have the highest winning percentage, are the ratings King, have the all time leading rusher, the biggest and best stadium, and the nickname “America’s Team”! But I don’t have to sell Cowboy fans, do I?

Yeah, we have problems, and haven’t won a Super Bowl in a long time, but I’d rather spend more time having fun and looking forward to the future than stressing over missed opportunities.

Just an opinion, like yours.

OH God!! Your one of those............

Well enjoy your fun. We certainly dont want to ruin that.

always a year late adressing a weakness. The oline. Then the cb’s. Then RB. Then WR. They actually thought Hurns was a number 1 and WR by commitee was ok. Dak is not Brady lol. Then they finally got Coop. Now its Safety. Lol
Why don't they just sign a Pro Bowler at every position

See that is our problem. Stockholm syndrome.

We are in love with meaningless stuff. All time leading rusher, biggest stadium.
We can love our great history and still be ultra critical of our present. Jerry can be a good businessman and a terrible GM.
This franchise is a laughing stock. There is a reason why stephen A Smith and the like constantly mock us. It’s the damn truth. No one mocked Jimmy johnsons teams. We would go smash them. Jimmy in 5 years smashed two HOF coaches in the division, smacked the team of the 80’s and put the league on its ears. Changed the way teams drafted, changed defense from big fat plodders to a speed based attack.

last year swing tackle, linebacker and wr were areas needing upgrades. each was accomplished. why do you think the same won't happen this year, too. I know it is fashionable to liken Stephen and his efforts to improve the team with those of jerry. but Stephen is far better at talent acquisition than his daddy. the last few years should have solidly proven that.

I agree with some of that, but it’s not all meaningless. Wins and losses ARE the bottom line, although there’s plenty of people that STILL envy and resent the Dallas Cowboys. I reserve those meaningless things for those people, as well as the perpetually miserable.

I will NEVER hang my head or apologize for my choice of football teams. There’s a lot of bad. There’s also a lot of good. I consider it a waste of what little precious time I have left to focus on anything but the latter.

It’s a constant battle:

A)Jerry’s crappy GM work, meddling and mumbling, drunken pressers, Stephens cheapness, media bias, distractions, injuries and plain old bad luck.

VS.

B)Jerry’s money, Stephen and McClay’s teambuilding, the largest fan base, our history and stadium and ratings, and our optimism about the future.

Back and forth!

Risen "it'd be tough for any fan to do worse than that idiot."

Well I think I could do better, and so could other fans, but the job isnt open , it isnt a job anyone can "apply for"
Jerry bougt it, and stephen will inherit it unless jerry out lives him.
After stevie , probably charlotte or some other family member will carry on the "tradition" of playing gm........and president, I forget that one lol.
