A wildcard win on average every 4 seasons is not evidence of the process working under Garrett.
Has nothing to do with liking Garrett or not, it has to do with results.
There is no debate that Garrett has not had the success other coaches that have been tenured as long as him have had, even my friend Idgit agrees with that statement. Where he and I disagree is that Idgit attributes that to organizational dysfunction and not Garrett himself while I see both as the problems.
Regardless, for whatever reason, we both agree that Garrett has had limited success compared to his peers of similar tenure. So you have one of Garrett's biggest supporters and one of his biggest critics both agreeing the results have been poor, comparatively, but differing on why. Has nothing to do with liking Garrett or not.
Then pick another team kiddo.
This team is operating this way as long as Stephen is in charge.
Crying about it is beyond stupid and just tilting at windmills.
They literally JUST cleaned up the cap of old restructure nonsense. They ate 28 M LAST YEAR in the final hurrah to do so.
People are stupid beyond words.
In this recent era of fiscal responsibility where they swore off outside free agent overspending and restructures they have won 2 division titles in 3 years and went they have went 32-16.
Absolute brain-deads point to 1 SB title as some great feat when they watch 5-6 years of 5-7 win teams to pay that off. That is absolutely garbage.
Worse they lie about how those teams got there in the first place.
NE balances their cap harshly and willingly moves on rather than pay top of market price for anyone.
Because Brady gives them 10m a year discount they operate at a huge advantage.
And even with frequent roster changes they pay very little dead cap.
PHI spent a few years drafting well, took a tank season or two to clear up cap then immediately got themselves back in cap weeds big time.
The best team in 2017 fell to 9 wins in 2018 and they lost 3 more starters. That's a master class in how NOT to operate a cap or team in general.
A team like NE would have gotten a 2nd and 4th for Foles.
SEA revolutionized defense with this scheme we now run and drafted players insanely well early when Carroll knew every 4+ star HS prospect entering the NFL.
That's why they won, not spending money. Anyone suggesting that is just lying.
They've lost most of those key players as their cap prices have risen and they've remained competitive because they let them go.
