I'm gonna make the flight to Dallas for a game this year I think. Probably Miami or Buffalo.

Still debating between going to an away game at Washington, NYJ, or New Orleans though.

I'll be at the @NYG game, as per usual. I actually live in Philly but have stopped going to the games here because of several bad experiences with local fans. Not kidding.

That's not hard to believe......it's more expected than it is a surprise.

Thinking of going to a home game. Will look for tickets nearby where I had my season tickets. Those were really great seats.

Hoping for a home game the last week of October. Will be in state to watch two of my former players play each other (SMU at Houston) on Thursday, my daughter has a race near Dallas on Saturday, and would love a Cowboys home game Sunday, preferably not the late NBC game.

I may also go to Texas/TCU that weekend.

The schedule is to be released Wednesday according to this. So maybe we get some leaks. They usually release the 1st week the day before, or earlier than the rest of the schedule.

This is the most over hyped and most well known before the release of information in pro sports.

There are only 16 games, you play your division home and away, and you rotate playing a AFC division (should be the AFC East 2019), and 3 of 6 of the remaining games versus NFC Division (probable NFC North). Therefore only 3 games are unknown...sort of...if you made the playoffs, it will be against playoff opponents from previous year.

I love Jimmy Johnson simplification of winning and getting in the playoffs no matter the schedule; "win at home, and win in you division and you'll make the playoffs." Simple math 8+3 = 11 wins....playoffs.

All of the opponents were known at the end of last season as well as home/away. The only unknown is timing.

Home: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Washington, Green Bay, Minnesota, Buffalo, Miami, LA Rams

Road: NY Giants, Philadelphia, Washington, NY Jets, New England, Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans

Not accurate.

Only 2 games are not fixed and they are once last season is over.

Those 2 games are against same-place finishers in the two other NFC divisions you don't play this year.

6 NFC east games
4 AFC division games (rotates every 4 years)
4 NFC division games (rotates every 3 years)
2 NFC games against same-place finishers (1st place vs 1st place, 4th vs 4th)

For example, we already know the Cowboys will play at the Rams in 2020 (I'm going) and I've always wanted to go see a Chiefs game, so I will travel to Kansas City in 2021 when the Cowboys travel there.

The reason the schedule announce is such a big deal is because fans want to attend certain games, take trips,
AND
fans, media, advertisers, etc., want to see when the marquee match-up's will occur.

And we as fans can have all off season to pick it apart, whine and complain that it is unfair, or even be happy it seems fair.
Actually the last several years the lay out has not been that bad, except a few quirks but not as bad as it used to be.
But a lot of potential outdoor north and northeast on the road possible games this year.

I expect 3 road north December games, and last 2 on the road, probably last 3 of 4 or 3 of 5 on the road. I will be shocked if we finish at home, or 2 of 3 at home.

Anyone have any recommendations on traveling to Dallas for a weekend and getting the best value? The travel packages offered by the Cowboys seem crazy expensive.

I've never been able to travel to Dallas for a game and I think this year may finally be my year, but definitely need tips on the best/most economical ways to do it. Would be flying in from CLT if that helps.

You normally don't finish at home because Jerry requests an away game. He needs the stadium for other games.

I bet we open Sunday night at New England. That would be a great rating buster for NFL
