Is this code for be stupid, Prescott?

The majority of QBs don't take team friendly deals unless they are like Brady.

A team game. I know brady is a unique situation and has a better hc. But he took less so he could have other quality around him to help.

Obviously Dak isn’t brady, Lol. Not comparing the 2, but wondering if Dak would think about taking a little less so we could sign Cooper easier.

Of course it really only works when the whole team stays cap friendly. A qb signs for 5 mil a year less so it can help sign other players but then another player gobbles it up on his contract. Lol.

Dallas has leverage here because they can let him walk and it's not a big deal.

The QB's accepting big deals are not winning titles.

It's elite QB's taking pay cuts and Rookie contract guys having the success.

Dak's play is simple.

Play this year well enough on his current deal.

Take the $332 million franchise tag in 2020.

Take the tag again in 2021, which has an auto increase to about $38 million.

Enter free agency and grab the mother load.

That is....as long as you play really well.

Injuries are low risk for quarterbacks in terms of recovery and longevity.

We let him walk and have who to play qb.

I don't expect him to take a team discount but also do not expect him to make Rodgers, Ryan and now Wilson money either. I would hope the Cowboys offer up a fair deal that will pay Dak very well

Doesn't matter.

Just lose and get a high pick or sign / trade for a middle of the pack QB that is always available and won't cost 30 mill and use that player as a bridge until you get another Dak Prescott.

This is the Oline and Zekes team. Dak is just a product of those 2 things.

Problem is many here do not want to pay Zeke either lol

Let’s say he plays the last season on his rookie deal this year and leads us to and wins a SB. Would he be worth it then..

I get why but we invested the top 5 pick and he will give us 5 more quality years at least.

I'd sign him.

If we fall off we could always trade him. Someone will want the best back in football.
