What improvements can we hope for from Jaylon and Vander Esch?

These two showed such enormous potential last year. They both played extremely well. IF they both improve even a little bit from last year, where would they rank in comparison to other really solid LB duos in the league?

What are you expecting from them this year? What are the areas that we can look to see the most improvement?

Taking on blocks and just experience .
You can tell the sky is the limit for them athletically but they can improve in some technical areas to be truly elite linebackers . Both are still green in experience so I feel they can be called one of the best lb cores, yearly, maybe as early as next year .

Same improvement you would expect from any player in their particular situation. Work ethic dictates they will be better. It’s all about attitude and they both excel in that category.

I think their Top 3 duo now and moving forward.

Wolf Hunter - build more muscle and get in tip top condition. Thought dude looked tired a lot in the 2nd half last season. Other than that he'll improve in the other areas.

Predator - reading his keys faster and slipping blocks, also getting healthier. Without a space eater up front #54 has to be slick vs run blockers. He'll get better after viewing his tape from last season.

Small stuff for these guys...just get em signed up for a long time so they can terroize like: Kuechley n Davis, Urlacher n Briggs, Wagner n Wright.

Get another pair of DT’s and a safety as has already been mentioned..

Everybody talks about that Rams game but what we didn’t know was that Woods was playing with a bad shoulder at the 1-Tech position, so we need another big boy to help him out, an upgrade would be even better...

I mean, they're both such beasts that any room they have for improvement looks pretty minimal. Jaylon's not great in man coverage, he bites on good fakes and stuff, so he does have some things to fix. But in zone coverage + pass rushing + tackling everything that moves, I think he's already there. And LVE - seriously, how could he get much better. I'd say he was a top 5 LB in the game from the moment he joined the starting lineup.

Getting a DT to free them up is about the best thing you can do to help them at this point. Those two are the real deal.

This will be Jaylon’s first pro year totally healthy. He will be a playmaker personified and will lead our D and maybe our team where we want to be.
