Next, let’s ask the group who thought he had no business getting even the QB coach gig and who *****ed nonstop about the organization for *that* hire for two straight weeks what THEY think about his chances at OC are. That should be fun.

That "group" are the same people who think Zeke is fat and Dak is the worst starting QB in the NFL. They're not everyone.

I think Kitna as QB coach is an upgrade - NFL experience actually playing the position matters more to me in that role - and Moore is better suited for his new position. I also think Jerry and Stephen aren't the NFL geniuses they seem to think they are, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Is it the same group of drama queens that whines about Jerry, Stephen, JG, Rod, Dak, Rowdy, etc every chance they get?

It's the same irrational fools that during the worst era of Cowboys football ever history will show they were negative.

Go Cowboys, bro!

He can’t be no worse than Linehan or Garrett.

That's right. And he'll quickly add Moore to that list. His successor can't be no worse than Linehan, Garrett or Moore.

And then his successor can't be no worse. And then the next guy too.

Welcome to the Prescott era.

Who is a believer that Kellen Moore will be good OC?

I really do not know if he will develop into a good OC but I think from everything I've read he has a great offensive mind and comes from a coaching background and was a big winner at the college level a QB but is this enough to carry over to becoming an NFL caliber OC?

Kellen won't fail.

Garrett will fail, and Kellen will contribute to that failure.

Or.

Kellen won't succeed.

Garrett will succeed, and Kellen will contribute to that success.

The change wasn't just in persons, the change was also in process... Nussmeier, Columbo and Kitna have been specifically cited (by Jerry, Stephen and Jason just before and just after KM was announced) as being more involved... the others may, too.

Kellen acknowledged that group-effort in his comments on-camera this weekend.

This isn't the Garrett-Linehan model, where Garrett knew Linehan's approach mirrored his own, and Linehan largely ran the offense. This is the Garrett-Moore-Nussmeier-Columbo-Kitna model. Moore will be what his title says he is... a coordinator... much more akin to what other former OCs who are HCs do in LA and in NOLA.

Former quarterback, excellent at the collegiate level, father was a head football coach for over 20 years, has played in the NFL and has talent to work with on offense.

Best part to me is he played for a creative, and successful, college coach. He's not stuck in old school concepts. I'm looking forward to see what he brings.

Correction to the bold: he was on an NFL roster. I don't recall a single game snap he ever took outside of pre season.

Well sure, but first make sure they didn't see the second Giants game last year where Dak through for 368 yards in a game where Zeke and the entire OL was out. Because Moore was effectively the OC in that game already.

I think he is going to be under too much pressure to do it by himself.

I see Kitna being in on a lot of the play calling and Garrett as well.

Is that going to be enough?

Not sure.

I expect some bad games being called early on.

The preseason will not help much as they are not going to play the same as after September.

So if there are glitches..not a lot of time to get it right.

You guys don't remember when David Shula was here calling plays.

He also was a coaches son who failed miserably.

Norv Turner quickly fixed things after him.

So it is a meaningful change considering Garrett's job is supposedly on the line.

Sort of risky if you ask me.
