Eagles have a secret front office weapon, sounds like the Jets want it. This offseason was going so well too...

The Gase hire was laughable. This is absurd.

Gase is a weird guy but he’s underrated. He gets results wherever he goes. In 3 years in Miami, he took a lackluster roster and hovered around .500 with them when he probably shouldn’t have been able to.

Plus he went 3-3 vs Belichick, which is kind of Herculean.

Wow, he went 500. And got fired. Bravo.

Still something to gloat about, he's probably the only one on that list. Though Andy has had some moments against Belichick. Remember when we, not the Ravens, were the true team to almost break up 16-0 with our nobody backup QB?

Yeah, that's gloat worthy ... Much better than winning two of the last three super bowls... The dolphin fans were so proud of what the fins accomplished under gase

Best thing any other AFC East team has done since Ronnie Brown. Why wouldn't the Jets consider that when hiring him?

Maybe they did consider it.

But for a once in a lifetime wild play last year, gase should have been 1-5 vs the Patriots. But the game is 60 minutes, and crazy things did happen in the last thirty or so seconds.

To be fair, he put his team in a position where they even could possibly win on a wild play against the New England freaking Patriots. Even if they lost... Dolphins don't have half the roster you do, but they were there in it in the end. That's coaching.

Dude, aero... Really? You can honestly say that with a straight face?

You wouldn't believe what I can say with a straight face.

Jets are irrelevant. They have been since Parcells. Even during Rex era they were a wild card team beating unworthy home teams. Gase is better than alternatives NY had. I'd be happy with it if I were a Jets fan.

Under Ryan they went to back to back conference championships. He gave the Jets an identity, players played hard for Rex until the wheels finally came off the wagon. Gase has never inspired his teams.

Is he better than Bowles? Probably, but not by much.

At the moment he just needs to be a better fit for the Jets than the Arizona wunderkind, Cleveland’s new OC-HC, or whoever those preteens GB and Cincinnati hired are.

Fangio would have been a great choice for that 3-4, but Gase was probably the best of the rest.

Well at least we know the AFC east will be a dumpster fire for the Pats again for the 20th time

Miami has always found ways to pull upsets at home versus the Pats from time to time. Then go get destroyed in NE.
Happened with other coaches too down here too. Think it's more the weather(humidity) than talent or coaching.

He was over his head being the HC/OC, huge ego, got in fights with the owner, and his play calling was maddening.

Stuck with Burke way too long at DC even when he was over his head too.
