In 3 seasons dak has 18 games under 200 yards passing.
5 games for over 300 yards passing.
Better hope the "Jones" are buying the Dak-Lovers Minimal wage 30 million a year plan for NFL QB.....
Still hasn't averaged less than 200 yards in any season

LOL.....the Dak PR dept is on full force baby!'
Panic time oh well its July 22 and still no 30 million contract for DAK?
The above is a fantasy scenario please disregard it as Dak is just driving the "Bus" full of talented players that surround him.
Don't want to get into his flaws as I might be writing till dawn but they are many and usually in the NFL only proven TALENT gets the big bucks!!!

You should learn how to scale an image down before bad mouthing anyone on this site. Your signature is an eyesore taking up precious real estate, and I'm surprised the mods allow you to steal so much bandwidth with it. Over 600,000 bytes of additional data our browsers have to load on that page, because you want to have the most obnoxiously large sig on the site. Reflects your personality and intellect quite well though.

What does yardage have to do with winning football games? Teams I see throwing over 300 yards are usually losing. Or just plain trying to catch up. Tom Brady threw for 4300 yards last season. I think that's only like 230 yards a game . Not including the playoffs. Cuz then you divide it by 18 or 19. . So I guess that's almost like two passes less per game. Yardage LMAO show me the wins and losses that's what I care about.

Romo is Retired!

Can we stay with the present anemic passing attack and red-zone issues we are facing and finally admit who is culprit # 1 as seen herebelow.....

Today's NFL. That's what quarterbacks are game managers. There's no Elite quarterbacks. Once the old school is gone Elite is gone truth that's not how the NFL work any longer I'll take a really good bus driver. LMAO. Carson Wentz Elite never Jared Goff Elite never Prescott Elite same situation. But we got him in the fourth round. That was a steal that's the point

So you weren't this critical with Romo's first three seasons on the team but you insist on doing this with Dak? Way to not be consistent. Dak Prescott is the first Cowboys quarterback to ever pass for 3,000 yards and at least 20 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons.

For a QB who started 16 games, 3000/20 are anemic numbers.

If you take into account that Romo didn't start till the 2006 season, the passing numbers are not even close. In just 10 games that year Romo threw for 2900 yards and 19 TDs, in just 10 games!

In other years Romo's numbers were closer to 4000 yards and 30 TDs a year. That's the numbers a good passing QB should be putting up in a passing league.

If Prescott is ever able to achieve this, Dallas will be perennial Super Bowl favorites and not just mere contenders.

So give Dak time like Romo was given to mature to get those numbers. Why is Dak the exception in this giving QBs time to develope?

You don't believe 3 years and 48 starts is enough time?
Dak is the only Cowboys QB to pass for at least 3,000 yrds and at least 20 TDs in his first three seasons. When all other Cowboys QBs that amounted to anything were given more time than 3 years, Dak deserves the same patience and consideration.

There should be an asterisk next to that statement. Romo had Testeverde and Bledsoe starting in front of him. Put Prescott in that same time period and he would have been riding the bench also.

The difference is when Romo hit the field he was dynamic in the passing game. Prescott has had three years and dynamic would not be the word to describe him in the passing game yet.

When Romo hit the field, he was in his 4th season. Dak deserve this 4th season as well before knocking him as you have. I'm just arguing for equal time in the league for Dak. Until then we aren't comparing apples to apples.

lol... yes one is in his 4th season and has already started 48 games, the other hadn’t played a single snap. Those are definitely “apples”.

Hey Joe, not here to say Dak doesn't deserve a little more time. I agree about the 4th season.

But your numbers are a deceptive on Romo if we want to include actually games played.
He very easily surpassed 3000 yards and 20 TDs per 16 game season...he almost surpassed that in 2006 (2900 yards, 19TDs in only 10 starts) then blew way past that in the next two seasons.

Now if you want to use the argument that he had the chance to sit and learn, I would agree. Even though I think getting zero real reps while "sitting and learning" is highly overrated. I get it.

My numbers? These aren't "my numbers", these numbers are what actually happened. In 2006 Romo was only good enough to start 10 games. That was his 4th season and those 6 games he did not start must be held against him.

To be exact, Romo missed two seasons and six games before his first start, not in his 4th season like you mentioned.

Romo was signed as a undrafted free agent in 2003. He did not play that season, 2004, and 2005. That's 3 seasons he did not play. His 4th season was 2006, he did not start the first 6 games that year.

If a player is on the practice squad it doesn't count as a season.

Romo made the team in 2004, that's when the clock starts.

There you go showing your bias for Romo. Romo is accountable for getting himself on the 53 man roster. He doesn't get a free pass just because he wasn't good enough in 2003. Look at his stats accoring to the NFL. 2003 counts.
