Jerry and Stephen Jones should stop messing around and pay Dak, Zeke and Cooper. They have the cap room. The players have delivered as play makers.

The problem is that where Jimmy Johnson succeeded with a young QB, RB, and WR. Jason Garrett failed. Garrett had 2016-2018 and could only deliver one playoff win. Garrett with Dak, Zeke, Dez, and Witten in 2016 playoff lost, Dak, Zeke, Dez, and Witten in 2017 no playoffs, and Dak, Zeke, and Cooper in 2018 playoff win.

Jimmy Johnson from 1990-1992 delivered 3 playoff wins and a Super Bowl win with his young guns before any holdouts and contract negotiations. Johnson knew he had a window and jump through it. Jason Garrett has been a big disappointment as the next Tom Landry (as Jerry described). When resigned Jason Garrett as Head Coach after the 2014 season, Jerry has created the mess he is in now. Jason had gone 8-8 seasons 3 times in a row losing crucial NFC East games with no playoffs, 12-4 with a Wild Card win and bad coaching in the Greenbay divisional playoff lost. What was the reward Jerry got for resigning Jason Garrett? The Cowboys went 4-12 in 2015.

Jerry Jones hired the next Tom Landry and he is not Tom Landry. So pay Dak, Zeke, Cooper, and hire a new Head Coach.

Two totally different eras, in regards to roster building.

Even if you discount the fleecing of Minn in the Hershel Walker trade, back then, Jimmy and Jerry could always spend pretty near as much as they wanted to re-sign vets, while also filling in key roster spots thru FA. And there was much less guaranteed money on multi-year contracts at that time.

With today’s hard cap, a FO is under much more pressure to not make mi$take$.

Honestly, witnessing all this daily deranged behavior is starting to wear on me.

You could always go do something else rather than wasting time here. It seems like some members here are on the sight 24/7. I might peek in for about a half hour every other day or so.

Jerry’s not interested in hiring a HC who could come in and take all of the credit for winning a championship.

Let this man live.

Jimmy won big when his triplets were still on their first contracts. Garrett couldn't do that but that doesn't mean we give up on the players. Sign these guys so we can continue to compete at a high level. Jimmy done what Garrett couldn't, win with a young team.

I think we’re about to see Garrett’s magnum opus. Where he thrives is in blocking out the distractions and chaos and his players tend to follow his lead.

Linehan cost us a couple of years of SB window. I don't know how we kept him in 2018. He had his chance to retool the offense in 2017 and it was a complete bust.

In all fairness, you can't compare an uncapped era with very little free agency to the modern era. Jimmy Johnson didn't have to worry about player salaries and guys bolting for better deals. He could keep whoever he wanted. It is simply harder to win in this era and we don't have talent required to win at the front office or coaching level.

This does not excuse Jason Garret who has not succeeded as a HC by any definition.

Dosent matter if we pay them or not Garrett is not able to make the most of them . Garrett need to be promoted to a FO spot where he can do what he is best at Acquire Talent.

Then we need to hire someone that can make the best use of the talent he finds us in big games

Sigh. “We’ve developer too many really good, really you players! Fire the coach!”

No way, just promote him to a spot where he can concentrate solely at what he is best at acquiring talent . Heck he is good at it we got so much now we cant even pay for it all .

How did he get this reputation? Please don't start this rumor. JG has never been know as a talent elevator, Will McClay and the scouting department put this team together. To be honest, JG really has nothing that's he's best at.

Sorry but Garrett dose have some desirable qualities . He took a team that was reeling last year and could have easily QUIT motivated them to a great winning streak and kept them playing hard to the end He is good at acquiring talent and getting them to play hard for him .

Its not a rumor he is involved in player acquisition . He is in the war room and has as much input as anyone
He is not talented enough to put them in the right positions to win big games in the playoffs when everyone is good .

I think we all know Garrett needs overwhelming talent to win anything.

Fortunately for him, this team might have that.
