Do they take bad angles as well?
Heath doesn't take bad angles. It's worse than that. He lacks the agility to adjust to the ball carrier, so it looks like he's taking bad angles. Taking bad angles can be correct. Poor lateral agility cannot.

Quinn led the Dolphins in sacks w/ 7.5. He was majorly disruptive, but was on a team w/ no O and no talent around him. Only reason he was available is because he was due 12.5 mil.

I'm still shocked that people don't know how good he is. We got a major steal. And if we keep him fresh w/ a rotation, we're looking at finally having a talented bookend opposite DLaw.

Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty much everyone, except on these board.
So..... no one?

No one in their right mind had him over:
Michael Bennett
Carl Lawson
Myles Garrett
Clowney
Calais Campbell
Bradley Chubb
Frank Clark
Melvin Ingram
Derek Barnett
Trey Flowers
Everson Griffin
Chandler Jones

Etc etc etc

I'd love to see your links of those that have him top 10

Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got him for a 6th rounder after they ate $4.5M of the $12.5M of his salary.

...that's nothing. Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!

It’s either going to be a lot of upset people or surprised people when it comes to Quinn. Seems to be split on what he is.

I understand what you’re saying but Quinn if he’s still in his prime is one of the better ends in the league. I think there’s a severe overrating and underrating thing going on. It’s hard to know if he’s still in his prime or not because all it takes is one offseason. But I expect him to be a better version of Randy Gregory. I don’t know where he ranks in this league but no one can tell me he’s not a improvement over Randy and that’s nothing against Randy just more of a credit to Quinn.

Quinn hasnt been in his prime for a LONG time now

I can tell you it's not close to a guarantee that he's an upgrade to Randy. He could be, but right now slight advantage Gregory.

But none of this really has to do with the original post. Thinking he'll be an upgrade to Gregory doesn't mean he's a top 10 RDE

Me-lists more than 10 RDE who are without a doubt better, and asks for your links of him being a top 10 RDE
You- (provides no links or rebuttal to list) of course you have nothing!!!

LMAO even for you KSK that's a BAD look my dude. You would have been better off just not replying. We'll just leave this as is, you don't need to dig yourself any deeper!!!!!

no. he's going to approach 10 sacks in 14 games, barring significant injury
Right! He's only had 3 double digit sack seasons in his career, hasn't done so in 4 ( a couple with Aaron Donald) but suddenly he's back to an old form he never really had. 6 is more realistic and 8 would be beyond expectations!

Wait what do you consider his prime? If you are still generating 7 to 8 sacks a year you are still in the prime of your career. He's not the 15 sack guy anymore no doubt. I think he can still rack up 7 to 8 sacks and he's much better agains the run then Gregory is.

Well in his defense....he hasn't played on the opposite end of a disruptor like D-Law either.

No no no.

Your prime is your top year, where you are performing at your peak. As you said he's not that guy anymore, his prime has long passed. I too think he can get 7 or 8 sacks depending on amount of snaps but he'll have to be better than last year for sure.

For reference:
Randy Gregory- 457 snaps and 6 sacks with three wiped by penalty
Quinn -635 snaps and 6.5 sacks with no idea how many were wiped by penalty

I hope Quinn is an upgrade, but at this point that's less likely than it is more.

Didn't he play next to Donald for two seasons? He had 1 year with 19... enigma, 2 with 10.5 and 4, 5, 6, 8.5 since then. 8 would be a really good season for him. Anything more would be exceeding expectations!
