Well this tells me that the "something imminent" leak came from the agents side. That is not a bad thing.

I've never seen a front office in any sport so eager to discuss ongoing negotiations to the media like the Jones boys do.

We must be the luckiest fan base in the world.
Who cares? SD isnt saying much.... is it helping them with Gordon? Also, look at the difference in coverage between Zeke and Gordon. Nobody cares about the chargers/. Everybody cares about the Cowbosy.

Normally, when you say something that creates a negative stir, you learn from it. Yet, they persist.

From that vantage point, they are fine with negative stirs. It still keeps eyes on screens and ears to the ground. All press is good press from a marketing standpoint.

From a negotiation standpoint, Zeke's agent is the one saying that things are imminent. So he is firing back that it's not. It's a kick in the pants to expedite this process and it appeals to the "always undermine your opponent" axiom

Living proof that these contract negotiations are tricky, tricky things! Been to many of them and it never fails to entertain me! ;)

I said I was entertained, because I used to go as an observer. Actually participating in one of them would've driven me crazy.

The Jones’ just seem to love a microphone, I really don’t understand it.
The old man got stung by the celebrity bug after Jimmy left and his son got it several years ago. It is why they will never have a strong personality HC, no shadow allowed.

How many owners/GM's have you ever heard make the player comments, who's starting, who's in and out that they do? I've never seen it before, not even Crazy Al went that far.

The HC position is seen as the assistant to the GM in Dallas and nowhere else. That's really the only reason I can't stand Booger. I can handle the GMing, the meddling, all that but that spotlight seeking and making himself the face of the franchise, I can't stand that.

"Nothing eminent?"

Yes. There is nothing famous or respected with regard to the contract situation.

All I can say if that if I'm picking 4th or later in my fantasy draft, I'm taking Zeke anyway.
:flagwave:
I don't play Fantasy Football do you get points for yardage alone?

Are the Chargers airing this in the media? People care about a clown show, the official reality show of the NFL.

They talk because Cowboy fans are so eager to side with the Joneses against the players.

They're different, in the beginning it was points alone and then yardage was added until it became a little more advanced. The last league I played in, other than DFS which came later, there were 23 scoring categories and our commissioner held an MBA in Math as his major. We couldn't keep our own scores and had to wait until Tuesday morning for the final outcome. This was back in 2001 before there were FF scoring sites to keep the scores in real time.
