Nothing has changed with these comments. If you win early, Jerry will talk more smack about the mistake Zeke is making.

If you don’t, Jerry will get quiet real quick and then the fun starts.

I think Jerry is just saying we're in no hurry to hand out a stupid contract so either sign what we've offered and get in here or sit until you've missed so many game checks that you're tired of losing 230k a week and you show up anyways.

Giants, Commanders, and Dolphins as well as Tony Pollard have Jerry very relaxed right now.

It's weird everyone is writing off the Skins. They are not going to be a team that's easy to beat.

Kinda like when Todd Gurley barely played against us in the playoffs last year and we could just triple team all of the receiving threats lol.

The NFL does not work this way. You guys need to pay attention to someone other then the Cowboys.

If Pollard gets touches, especially in this offense, he is going to produce and if teams decide to not respect him he will run wild.

Nope the Cowboys played nickel when they should have went to 4-3 or even 4-4 if they could not stop Anderson.

Pollard will be stopped with base defenses. There is a reason he did not start in college.

Pollard will probably be as effective as Lassic in 1993.

Always difficult to decipher Jerry speak...but I think, as it relates to the last sentence, Jerry is saying that in order to make the long term commitment worth it, they need to prolong Zeke's career via load management.

Well i'll report back when you're wrong and we'll see what your excuse is because evidently you don't see all of the no name guys that produce when given a workload in this league.

If a RB gets volume in this league they produce. It's almost automatic.

Keenum is a limited QB. And with the Trent Williams issues, you wonder about their OL.

But I do like their defense. They got beef and playmakers in the middle and then guys like Kerrigan off the edge. Their secondary should be decent. If that defense is good, they can keep themselves in games. I just am not sure that offense can hold up.

Zeke - "I know you have to show up or your contract will toll."

"So, we will see you later if you don't like this offer"

It is not automatic especially with the Cowboys offense. If RB gets stuffed early and Cowboys fall behind, Pollard and running game will more than likely be abandoned.

I'll say it again.

I'd kick the tires on Ajayi.

Not sure how to read this.

Is Jerry saying they don't need Elliott early and just want him signed for the latter part of the year? Is he saying, hey, Zeke, I want you for the playoffs so if you hold out long enough, I'll buckle and give you what you want come October/Nov?

The last part makes me cringe, unless I am missing his point. You want to pay him a crap ton of money but you have to "manage" him, ie his usage?

Come now, you know the deal. Zeke has to play the last 6 games of the season to get credit for another year of NFL season credit. He will not only lose 10 game checks but, he will have to pony up his fines for TC and Jerry can ask for a pro-ration share of his original signing bonus. Zeke is already on the books for next season so he has to play 6 games this year to get to FA the following year and guess what? We can still franchise him to two more years. Zeke can sit for the first 10 games and Jerry is just declaring how much Zeke is on the hook for. Jerry has all the leverage.

The 2019 RB Franchise Tag is around 12 million. If the market is the market then anything over 12 is overpaying.

I believe there is a chart that shows the difficulty of deciphering Jerry speak.

The more JWB he has the more difficult to decipher. This line goes vertical in difficulty faster than is does horizontal.
Then if the fans have been chugging a few also. Whoa, then it gets more interesting.
:lmao:

But, yes, agree I think that is what he is saying.

Good.. Teams that pass the ball efficiently are what wins in the NFL. Running the ball efficiently doesn't really correlate with winning.

Zeke ran all over everyone to start the season last year and we were 3-5.

We trade for Amari, our passing gets better, and we start winning. Big shocker.

Imagine if Zeke doesn't show up until week 10. Does he come back to cheers or relentless boos? I'm guessing boos. Lots of them. Unless our record is terrible.

This is false. He already lost his chance to accrue another season. As a player under contract and holding out, he had to show up by Aug 6th to get that accrual year towards FA.

Pollard did not start in college because the RB in front of him was deemed to be better. So they created plays to get Pollard on the field. Which was why he lined up as a WR many times.
That was not the reason as you said.
