I finally decided to dump Directv after 15 years. Ever since they went to AT&T, their service has gotten worse and the prices just as bad. Just decided to go with Sling for now, but thinking about Fubo, but I think it is more expensive. Maybe even PSVue. Suggestions?

Now in order to watch the few Cowboys games that are not nationally televised, has anyone had any experience with the stand-alone Sunday Ticket--via say, Amazon Firestick?

Did the same thing. We had DirectTv for 17 years. Service was terrible after ATT.

We have Hulu, Amazon, and YouTube TV (they have local channels and anntena doesn't work where I live). We will save almost$100 a month.

I dumped it yesterday after 16 years. I'll be watching Cowboys games over their air with rabbit ears. I got Google Fiber a few months ago and tried their You tube TV for 30 days. It was good and I was going to sign back up, but the Amazon Fire Stick is no longer supported. I'm sure I can get any game I want on the fire stick, I added Kodi, Black Panther and a few other apps that lets you watch over the internet behind a VPN.

My bill on Direct TV went from $70 per month, to $129. I thought I would watch more TV when I retired last year, that has not been the case.

Yep, I had DirectTV and then DirectTV Now and it was great until AT&T took over and it's been horrible ever since.

I did the same thing, but was with them for 20 years. I really don't even watch regular TV anymore but for the sports news and live sports. Apple TV with Netflix, Prime, ect….ect….. has all the movies you could ever want at the tip of your fingers.

Just go with your local provider and get a package with the sports stuff. Probably cost you anywhere from $50 a month to $150 if you roll up your internet with it.

The ONLY issue is the Cowboys games, but if you live in Dallas I don't see the problem. You can still get RedZone. I would think 70% of all Cowboys games would be nationally televised this year. You could probably stream the others or just go to a friends house or sports bar for 4 games a year.

You can connect rabbit ears to a modern TV?

DirecTV will call you back and beg. Buddy of mine cancels every year, just to get a discount. He once had premium w/ NFL package for $10 a month for 10 months.
That won't happen anymore, not after ATT took over. Usually you just called the retention department and they would work with you and give all kinds of incentives to not cancel. Not anymore, I called retention several times and all they said was, what day do you want us to discontinue your service.

I am of the understanding you don't need DTV for the Ticket. Just curious how anyone that has it feels about it.

Same thing here - the best part of YouTube TV is it has a ton of the past seasons of shows available to watch. I didn't know that was available until the kids were looking for Teen Titans the other day. I'm in Austin - so no issues with Rangers, Stars and Cowboy games for me. Now - need to figure out how to get Mavs instead of that team south of me and I'll be a happy guy!!

I used Fubo to watch the world cup when I was traveling - that was pretty awesome. Would definitely recommend. Pretty sure you can get a free trial for a week you don't have the game on regular TV as well.

You should get Firestick and load TPK, its $8 monthly but you get absolutely every game on Sunday ticket + each major tv station (ABC, cbs, nbc, &fox) from all the major cities
