That won't happen anymore, not after ATT took over. Usually you just called the retention department and they would work with you and give all kinds of incentives to not cancel. Not anymore, I called retention several times and all they said was, what day do you want us to discontinue your service.
That was basically what they did with me. They were like great send us back our crap in 14 days. Prior to AT&T, they were much more willing to negotiate.

I finally decided to dump Directv after 15 years. Ever since they went to AT&T, their service has gotten worse and the prices just as bad. Just decided to go with Sling for now, but thinking about Fubo, but I think it is more expensive. Maybe even PSVue. Suggestions?

Now in order to watch the few Cowboys games that are not nationally televised, has anyone had any experience with the stand-alone Sunday Ticket--via say, Amazon Firestick?

Get an IPTV provider enjoy 8000 channels world wide. 1000 US stations, 430 Canadian Stations etc.. has all the sports. NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL games. For like $8 per month on a 6-month sub. Shocked people even have cable today with idiotic prices.

If you have a child, family member, child of a friend, etc who attends college, you can use their info to get the student NFLST. You don't need directv and instead use their standalone app. $100/season.

You should get Firestick and load TPK, its $8 monthly but you get absolutely every game on Sunday ticket + each major tv station (ABC, cbs, nbc, &fox) from all the major cities
What's TPK and how do I download it?

About to do the same

Check out the Disney plus bundle coming in November. Disney, Hulu and espn plus for $13 a month. Add a HD antenna and you’re pretty well set.

I was on the phone with att the other week to clarify some charges. I asked about future charges for Sunday ticket when they appear and the lady told me I have a $15/m discount ready to be applied to Sunday ticket and that it was going to be around $32/month extra. Well just yesterday my new statement comes out and somehow my monthly bill increased $100.

Welcome to cord cutting freedom. I did the same thing last year. Had it since 1998 when I lived out of DFW market. I’m using Vue and like it, but their prices are going up too. Fubo is a strong option. I wanted a streaming service that offered the NFL Network and it’s Redzone channel. I’m still doing fantasy football and it does well with keeping me up on other games too.

google reddit nfl stream
This is a good stream to watch games. I am just wondering how it will be this year since I had to switch my internet company from ATT to Charter. ATT was horrible. i had several techs come out and basically told me that they could not provide the speeds or reliability that Charter could because of how far I lived from the main box and they were not putting in fiber optics.

Yeah I have been with dtv for 20 years. One phone call every year and they give you a discount off your bill 30-40 a month for 12 months. They did it last year, instead of retention dept I started using the chat function on the web sight. This year they started charging me for Sunday ticket, lost my discount, my bill went up 80 bucks. I chatted with them and they wanted to give me 10 bucks a month off. When I said cancel it they said my 30 promotional deal don’t end till next week so get back with them and the will apply the promotional deal from last year. They kicked the can down the road and charged me the extra money a few day ago. I will call or chat with them this week and if they don’t apply my discount then I will remind them new customers get the ticket free there first year. If they can’t do it then I will pay it and cancel after this season. By next season there will be a cheap legal way to stream your games seamless without ads. There maybe a way now. Either way I am letting them have it. It’s all up to the person you chat or talk to. Try to be nice and they will still do it. But I was a little forceful this season cause I was in a hurry. I hate being nice when they give new customers something free when I have been a loyal customer for 20 years.

Same. Went to Fios after 15 years of DTV. I actually like the DTV, TV product better but it does not come with internet. I am in NJ and I was paying 300/month between DTV and Cablevision for internet. Now I get both for 168.
Even in NJ there will only be 4 games that won’t be on TV for me when I look at the schedule. By the way, that cost was WITHOUT the season ticket. Cheaper for me to go to a sports bar for those 4 games.

i have unlimited phone plan also.
bandwidth and reliability varies with service providers and location.
you can get a good feel by streaming some youtube videos to test it out.
but make sure you dont watch @Ranching and the donkey by mistake
@dallasdave may never recover

Does fubo get you the games. I used to use modbro I could get them great but to many others started using it and it got glitchy.

I had direct tv for 15 plus years and paid for the nfl package full price all those years. Due to family, I found myself just watching cowboys games with the nfl ticket. Being outside DC, I would say between 6 or 7 out of 10 cowboy games would be on the local tv.

I signed up for YouTube tv and like it as well. I watch very little network tv and mostly have been watching hbo, Netflix or prime. I got Mavericks nba games with the nba steaming app. It will be interesting to see how I like YouTube tv with football back.

YouTube tv does not have nfl network but that hasn’t bothered me so far. I have streamed the cowboy games through the Reddit threads.

Also for my bedroom tc, we got YouTube tv through the amazon fire stick. My wife got it to work. There are a couple of steps to do it but we found the instructions online and got it done pretty quickly.

I have Apple TV for my other devices plus my iPad
