The front office also acted like they were going to start scheming defenses better too and they didn’t. That was the main problem.

That is why it’s wait and see with Kellen Moore. Is he actually going to scheme guys open or will it be the same old garbage.

Spoiler: same old garbage

In any case, I see Pollard having a good start. 6.8 YPC in college is nothing to shake a stick at.

And Alfred Morris is no slouch either.

Cowboy Run Game w/o Zeke
2014 - Murray led the league in rushing.
2015 - DMac had 4.6 ypc. 4th in the league in yardage with only 10 starts. Only 17 yards behind Gurley in 3rd. He could have conceivably beat out Peterson for #1 is he had gotten all the starts. Better ypc than Peterson.
2017 - Morris had a 4.8 ypc in 2017. Zeke had 4.1.

We've got plenty of evidence that other backs can run behind our oline. We've even got one of those who did.

Our oline is probably the best it's been since 2016. Could be better.

Jerry should sign some guy.

Can't believe so man "fans" are down on Pollard. Instead of *****ing get behind him, he's the man right now.

Will he be good? Only time will tell, but I don't think he'll be a flop. We are OK for the first three weeks.

Nothing like a noob to show up and say that everyone around here has been dogging Pollard.

If anything, people have been over the top in assuming he will be a star based off of preseason games.

Pollard will surprise? What he have to do, considering half the board already has him destined for Canton?

The biggest problem is pass protection. It only takes one missed assignment or weak block to get your QB hurt.
Super Dez is amazing. He will jump tall DE's in a single bound. He will throw laser beams to WR's. He is Super Dez. Just pay him. Best QB in the league.

Saying what a rookie can or cannot do before he's played in his first regular season game is just ignorant.

Trysten Hill is a bust. :lmao:
Pollard can't carry the load. :lmao:

I love ignorant people. We keep things interesting.

Who's the rest of the Committee? He's the only one that looks solid in PS games anyway.

If Zeke isn't signed real soon, I suspect Dallas to trade for another back. At least I hope they do.

For Sunday obviously it's Morris & Chunn. Don't be surprised when Austin gets a couple of carries.

I'm rooting for Pollard hard. But I doubt very seriously, even if he's successful, we just going to forget about Zeke. I'm beyond frustrated with Zeke, his antics and his holdout. But he has truly appeared to be a generational talent to this point.

If I had a Zeke jersey it'd be on eBay right now. All aboard the Pollard train!

The problem won't be pollard catching and receiving. The problem with be blitz pickup and that's where Zeke shined. He was big enough and strong enough to stop a blitzer in is tracks. Pollard won't give you that, its just not in his current skill set. Remember in the pre season. He almost got Dak killed.

I don't like Pollard as our 3rd down back either, for the reason you note.

Olawale should be our blocking/receiving 3rd down back. Richie Anderson II.

honestly, Pollard has an opportunity of a life time...on the other hand, its almost unfair to him. The kid has a ton of pressure on him to be elite day 1 as a starter. At least if Zeke were here, much of the pressure is off him. Its go time for the kiddo. Time to get his mind right. Looks like hes gonna be getting the bulk of the work.

If he can handle 20 carries a game, I think this guy may make a lot of fans forget about Ezekiel Elliott.

I agree with a piece I read earlier.

Zeke should have been happy as the second-highest paid back in the NFL.

He handled this wrong.

I gotta hand it to Jerry for cutting off negotiations and not getting hosed by a guy who can't handle himself in public anyway.

As others have pointed out, we have other players to get signed like Amari Cooper.

Zeke has to let other players eat, too.

Just having the star on your helmet is money in the bank, if you play it right. Zeke goofed on this one. Now he loses money.

In any case, I see Pollard having a good start. 6.8 YPC in college is nothing to shake a stick at.

And Alfred Morris is no slouch either.

So, we may be just fine without Zeke anyway.

He is 4th round RB. This is typically were NFL teams are finding their starters. I look forward to seeing what he can do.
