I am wondering about both in the backfield and the possibilities.

What would you do to get both of these guys on the field together?

Motion Pollard to the slot.
From the slot Jet Sweep Pollard or fake Jet Sweep
Flair Pollard to the flat on play-action
Run Pollard into the line and toss sweep to Zeke

It seems you have something new for this team and utilizing both will causes defenses to focus on Zeke, but once Pollard shows something, then what?

Obviously I am not an offensive coordinator.

Opinions?

Both deep behind the QB...QB takes the snap and turns around to hand off...and you don't know which back has the ball. Pollard races off to the left and Zeke to the right.... But SURPRISE! Dak kept the ball and throws deep to Gallup who's racing uncovered down the left hashmarks...

overthrown.

Aren't you glad I'm not the OC? lol

For me it's pretty simple.

I'd use Pollard in the slot and move him around from there.

I trust the Beaver is going to have this planned out.

I think there are times you use both
The possibilities are endless
Both are good receivers, pollard is a good route runner, Zeke is good blocker. Lots of stuff you can do with them and Dak in the run and pass game

Dont turn him into a constant gadget. If he's always going into flats or motioning to slot then he's going to see erratic use like Dunbar, Harris, Whitehead, Austin.

To be honest I'm not sure I want the playcalling modified much at all. He's shown in PS against starters and backups that he can run between the tackles. I think you get more out of his receiving ability by making teams respect that he could also just one-cut and punch it up the gut DeMarco Murray style.

I'm not saying dont motion him out. Just dont make it a gimmick that when he comes on the field people expect it. While we're at it, do the same with Zeke a little more.

Gordon and Ekeler come to mind.

Pretty simple I suppose. If 21 & 20 force the opposing defense to be in base coverage than you match 20 up with a LB in pass coverage and run several variations of it until they can stop it.

You can also get favorable numbers in the run game by using 20 to eliminate the extra defender.

Pollard is the full sized version of the run/catch threat of Austin. A misdirection run threat to make teams cover the width of the field, instead of just Zeke, then have to worry about him going deep as well. Make them defend the whole field.

You can also motion Zeke out and put Pollard at TB. They are somewhat interchangeable.

I've been wanting to see the team give a shot at a 2 HB offense for a long time. Pretty much all of Felix's career.
