Eh...so Heath didn't have his greatest game...he still is a tone setter on defense like early when he absolutely blasted Sheppard.
Heath's not an All-Pro we all know that but football teams need players like him. For what he is(an UDFA) he's not a bad player at all.

I seriously don't understand why he gets so much hate from people, its not like he's a 1st overall pick or something playing like this.

He’s a starter. And not a very good one.

That’s why he gets “hate”.

I agree he's a good cover safety and very few teams really have someone that can do that as well as he does. But he did have maybe the best play of the game near the LOS with that hit on Engram that forced an incomplete pass early in the game. Once in a while he'll make a play like that out of nowhere. The other teams TEs and 3rd WRs never do a lot against the Cowboys the last 2 years and that's in large part because our safeties take the middle of the field out of play.

Wait a second.

Did you just say few teams in the NFL have a safety that can cover as well as Heath?

What drugs did you take this morning? Honest question.

In coverage yes you are correct. Against the run that's a no. You do realize safeties have to play against the run and pass.
Jaylon Smith was awful against the run yesterday. So was pretty much the entire defense. Not sure why Heath is getting the blame.

jaylon smith ranked 3rd worst lb in the league yesterday. and yes he played a bad game. The d line got bad grades across the board. The only standout on defense yesterday was Jourdan Lewis. Again most players will have a bad game from time to time. But heath was graded 3rd worst safety in the entire league last season. So this is a trend not a 1 time deal with him.

They just see what they are directed to see.

The Cowboys like Jeff Heath, therefore for their worldview to be correct, Jeff Heath is good. Otherwise, their whole belief system is shattered.

You may not know this, but about a week ago, Zeke was a selfish, greedy jerk. Now him and Jerry shook hands at the press conference and had a funny T-shirt, so everything is okay.

Right this way sheep.

PFF is no way to judge any of this. That site is an absolute waste of time.

But you made statements and pff's grades lined up with those statements you made. I'm so confused? It's because Dak is ranked #1 in the nfl after yesterday's game isn't it.

I've been saying this for 10 years on this very board.

It's garbage.

There has to be a reason why so many fans here swear by the guy despite independent grading consistently showing how bad he is and non-Cowboys employed media constantly referencing him as a weak spot.

I get rooting for your team but have some objectivity. Just as many here like to say certain posters "hate everything" about the team, if you love everything about the team no matter what, your opinion becomes less credible.

Heath is awful and he keeps proving it to the football world every week. Years from now, the same people rushing to his defense now, will act like they never really thought he was good enough. It's happened here too many times.

I love our linebackers, corners (minus Anthony Brown), Tank, Quinn, the entire offensive line, the WR corp, Zeke, and even our much-maligned QB. If I'm wrong about Heath being bad, am I also wrong about the others being great?

First as you always do, you make things up. I never said “started”. I said played.

And I looked it up before and there have been quite a few 2nd round DTs that had impacts as rookies.

So to suggest Hill being inactive for a 2nd round DT is typical and expected is inaccurate.
Is something wrong with your comprehension. I said the same thing you said so why is your wording better than mine. A little hypocritical if you ask me or anybody else for that matter who read it

Your exact quote was they played right from the start. What does it start mean to you to me it means they started. Unless you have a definite different definition please clarify. Again start to me means they started. You just don't like losing either do I. At least I admit when I'm wrong. Make no mistake about this. I don't make things up. So you're wrong again. Anything else you like to get schooled on today
