He didn’t cut Hernandez immediately. Once he was arrested he did. The week of them going to his house and investigating he was still on team. I believe it was the day before or the actually day he was arrested that he was released.

You can spoof a text/phone call from the internet. But the telecom company can verify if those texts really came from AB. I'd hope the news outlets already did that before running these stories.
