I believe you were down on LVE last year. It takes a little time for some players. This draft class isn't looking too hot right now.

I think it's more about the front office and coaching staff. I don't remember too many that were fond of the pick to begin with myself included.I swear you people will never learn your lesson on counting out rookies and other young players too early.
Eventually you'll be right on a player... But my God do you look stupid along the way.
Jesus christ this is such a stupid statement...absolutely as stupid as stuff gets on here. The stuff you guys say man...Dude was always a project from the moment we drafted him, not like he was a top 5 pick or something man.Send him packing along with Taco.
It was so blatantly obvious to everyone except Marinelli to take one of those stud safeties.I think it's more about the front office and coaching staff. I don't remember too many that were fond of the pick to begin with myself included.
He was all over the charts due to his small school status and being raw as a player. It was so blatantly obvious to everyone except Marinelli to take one of those stud safeties.
Didn't Hill have a third or fourth round grade on him?

We're playing a team on Sunday that looks to have had a good draft. The other NFCE teams also made some good picks.
Howard was at Full Practice Status ALL Week.
I already said I didn't look at the practice status after Howard.
I looked up rookie performances this morning of every 1st and 2nd round picks from the 2019 draft. Surprisingly for a supposedly "weak draft" there were a lot of rookies starting in Week 1. Trysten Hill was the first pick I got to that was inactive on Sunday. Every other 1st/2nd round pick that was healthy made their team's gameday roster in Week 1. Wow....
That's true for getting serviceable players but, regardless of his standing right now, Hill has a ton of upside. Guys who reach Hill's potential don't generally become free agents, so you have to draft them.On a serious note, the bust rate around the league on DTs is probably as high as QBs. Jmo, we’re better off spending that money in free agency as opposed to using draft capital
Yea, there's a huge difference between being active and being...good.Didn't two 1st round picks get injured on day 1: Oak Safety Abram (who was drafted with the pick we gave up for Cooper) and an Atl OL.
I thought I read where neither of those two players were doing well when out there.
I saw 1st round NYG CB Baker get toasted. I saw 1st round NYG QB Jones play and do nothing, other than fumble. I saw NYG 1st round DL Lawrence (?) do squat.
Wella, whatever you do, do not label me respectable. That's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much to live up to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Interesting we're spending soooo much time on 2nd round pick who inactive the FIRST GAME of the season. Not sure the motivation here but let's talk about Pollard also, 3rd round pick who was damn near ready to start before Zeke returned. See how that works......
Yet you have a couple of posters jumping every thread yelling bust or non-factor for a kid ONE game into the season.....amazing coz these are what we like to think are respectable posters.
Some rookies make it, some don't, but I can just imagine if this board existed during Aikman's rookie year. The rush to judgment is comical, and would've had people yelling "bust!" after his first game.

There was a lot of poor football being played this week, and the young players, as is the case every year, contribute to that.

I mean I like Trysten Hill more than most but I still would have drafted Thornhill lolI know, it's crazy to think Dallas wanted to start their best players and have a veteran presence against a division rival. Who in their right mind would sit a rookie their fist game of the season against a division foe? Those silly Jones boys. If they were smart like our forum residents here they would have drafted Juan Thornhill a free safety, even though we already have a second year free safety in Woods who's coming off a great game where he had 9 tackles an a forced fumble. Gotta love the talent evaluators on the CZ forum.
Me too. I liked him in the 4th round.I mean I like Trysten Hill more than most but I still would have drafted Thornhill lol
