Jerry isnt sweating anything. He is spending whatever the cap is each year. Only thing that changes is who is getting the bigger piece of the pie. People make it like the cowboys are holding out because they dont want to spend the money.

Like I said, I'm not sweating it and I'm sure Jerry won't spend any more than he has to. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean he has to like it, otherwise he and Stephen wouldn't be doing their best to keep it to a minimum. Everyone loves their money, whether they just want it from someone else or they're trying to hang on to as much of it as they can. That's life in the world of high finance! It'll all be settled soon enough and we'll all be happy for it in the end.

WR market is done rising. Julio is done, Thompson is done. Nobody else at that level is due anytime soon. So that Market has reached its peak for probably 2 years.
Unless you think you will have a career year, which will increase your value and get you much closer to Julio.

Yet Dak wouldn't even be average without the team that is around him.
There are a lot of quarterbacks who would love to play behind this lineup.
If Dak were in Cleveland he'd already have been out of the league by now.

I dont think so,Dak keeps teams in games with his risk and error free play.browns have a very talented roster but they are plagued by bad QB play.

Franchise quarterbacks are worth their weight in gold, he'd find a suitor even on the franchise tag.
But we still have to accept the trade. 31 teams can say we'll give you 2 firsts for him. We can reject every single one of them.

By the way, let Dak drop back down to earth this week like McCafrey did, and go 17-31 with 179 yards, 1 TD and 1 pick and lets see how the narrative on Dak changes. Dont think it can happen? Did you watch Rodgers last week?

Yes, and we all know you are praying for it to happen. Praytell, what is the purpose of investing this much time in a team that you hope will fail? Wouldn't it simply be better to root for the Eagles or Giants or Patriots or one of the many other teams around the NFL?

I don't know of too many teams that are successful and their QB is not. So it would seem to me that if you hate the Cowboys' QB so much that it would be time for you to go follow another team or sport.

I heard it was because he doesnt like the long time structure and wants a shorter deal...wants basically a short deal with nearly all of it guaranteed..the long deals are team friendly but also are good for the player..

all this talk on Zeke holding out is overblown, he at least took a deal that helped the team with the length..

Dak and Amari are both posturing for more money and shorter deals..its no different , they are playing hardball..

Im fine with both waiting until the year plays out but it leaves only one FT for 2 people , something might break..

a career year for Coop isnt all that amazing. I like him, a lot and I am damn glad we have him. But Julio is a generational type WR. Coopers not that and I cant imagine him getting near Julio money.

this is a clickbait story. Its the same..not a stall. Just business. Dak will get done. Amari will too.

Julio doesn't score, which is why I don't consider him a generational player. I think Thielen, Brown and Hopkins are all better. Thomas may be, too.

When you hear they've stalled they are probably heating up, when you hear they are imminent they are probably at an impasse. That's probably the best way to approach it with Jerry. LOL

its a bidding war.... right up until Jerry said here you go... let me slap this franchise tag right on your rear end. Bidding war over.

Yeah Jerry will pony up before he even thinks of tagging Dak...

thanks for your wonderful lecture on what I want and who I shoudl root for.

I hope Dak becomes the best qb in the league and he ends up being the highest paid qb in th ehistory of the league, because if he is, we are winning titles.

Up to this point, the verdict is still out on that. If Dak kicks *** all year and gets a huge deal, Ill be ecstatic. If Dak goes up and down and plays like he did the first half of last year... no way in hell does he deserve to be in the top 3 qb salaries.

How do you figure im rooting against dak? Im a cowboys fan, not a player fan. I root for the team to win and its players to do well.... always.

Dak’s side can afford to dangle at least this week and next. Skins and the Dolphins games should only help their argument.

If I were Dak, I wouldn't sign at this point if I believed I could keep playing at this level.
like the proverbial bird in the hand, 100+ million in the hand now is better than 200 million in someone else's bank account. a crippling injury now could derail his plans. I know he has insurance, but those policies are very difficult to collect. instead of arguing his worth with nfl front office personnel, he'll be arguing with nothing but lawyers and judges or mediators. if the deal's in excess of 32 million a year, i'd take it.

Put talks off until after stretch of these games: Saints, Packers, Jets then Eagles. After that stretch see where he is. If he looks almost as good as he did in Giants game, then bite bullet and pay him. If he regresses stay patient and just franchise next year if they need to.

yep........ think about it, not that long ago we were all arguing if he was even worth 27 million per year...... now, that would be a bargain. BUT, there is a point where his salary will not go above, no matter how well he plays.
