TBH, the refs screwed the Saints yesterday. That game takes on a whole different look with the Saints up by 7 at that point. You could tell the Saints’ hearts weren’t in it after that.

If one play and a very bad call earlier in the game makes the entire team of give up, that doesn't say much for that team.

Brees out a minimum of 6 weeks per ESPN. I’m sure a lot of people are happy about this. Next worthy opponent is Green Bay. 4-0 easy peasy.

They are putting him on IR, so out 8 weeks.

That's almost laughable. Do you really think that makes up for a Hall of Fame quarterback. I understand what you might be thinking. But you're wrong

Perhaps my wording was bit strong but you can bet Payton will scheme every weakness this D has. Good news though is Bridgewater is the ultimate dink and dunk QB. Bottom line, they have damn good D and with Bridgewater and Payton it will still be a tough game IMO. No, not as tough if Brees play but still tough.

truthfully I rather play them with Brees, makes beating them more significant, too many cupcake games doesnt get you battel tested..seriously this great start loses luster given the opponents we are facing..it wont get serious until NOvember/December..

This ain't college where style points count, a win is a win. The Patriots don't care that their division has been terrible for twenty years, they just beat up on those 3 cupcake and find 4-6 wins elsewhere and go to the playoffs with home field advantage. I like that route.

I'm wondering if we're not about to see the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger.

He looked lifeless before he hurt his elbow. And that could be a Tommy John situation.

Adam Vinateiri may retire today, too.

Weird times.

Why is that? Hill is more a gadget guy. Small hands for a QB(8 3/4") and a low Wonderlic score(17). He is also 29 years old with 7 career pass attempts. They traded for and retained Bridgewater for a reason. Unless he gets injured, he will be the starter until Brees returns.

We will see, you think if Bridgewater struggles against the Seahawks next week that he will start against us? The fans are already yelling for Hill, check out their forum.

Call me ignorant, but I never got the hype on Teddy, pre injury.

Now, I'm sure Payton can scheme a gameplan to maximize his talents but I'm not too concerned.
He was pretty good for the Vikings until he was injured. Put a damper on their season.

We could very well go 4-0 and be a couple of games clear in the division. The only games that look rough on our schedule are Rams and Patriots.
Packers, Vikings, Bears (yeah, their offense sucks, but the D is excellent), Eagles x2 will all be challenges.

I would rather have Brees was playing, because even in a loss you could see how your team stacks up against a really good team. Now without Brees this is a must win for the Cowboys. You can't lose to a Teddy Bridgewater team, even if it's in New Orleans. I still don't think it's gonna be an easy game.

May catch a break against New Orleans, game in two weeks.

he might be done for the year, perhaps he can come back, but it takes time to strengthen the thumb, specially the most important finger to grasp a football...….he won't be the same this year if its the ligament.

If I'm Ben, I hold on as long as I can as that contract is an albatross for the Steelers.

Vinny knows he's costing the Colts and doesn't want to be a bother. Noble to retire vs. wait to get cut.

Do not take Teddy and Shawn Peyton lightly.......the combination is more than enough to cover for Brees.

Kamara and the running game is the strength of the team on offense, and Brees doesn't play defense, which is pretty good, so I'm not thinking the loss of Brees is a death knell for the Saints, either beating Dallas or other teams, though it will undoubtedly hurt them....

nothing is easy peasy in the NFL. did you just start watching football?
Lol, I heard the same thing after I said the Giants game would be easy and the Commanders would be easy. Did you watch either game? Was I wrong?

If Brees is getting surgery, he's taking longer than six weeks. He'll be in a cast for 4 to 6 alone. It could take double that amount to actually rehab and build up strength.

Very real possibility that the Saints move on next year.
