I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone, everyone seems to list him as a Top 7 QB. ***?!

Most overrated? No, Wentz is a good sometimes approaching great QB. If only he could stay healthy. A lot like Andrew Luck in that regard. Terrific talent, gifted arm but cannot stay healthy.

As overrated as he is

Eli is the most overrated QB in history. Will be the worst player ever inducted into the HOF
Eli's talent has evolved as his career progressed. He was really good at one time and it's that time in his career that is going to get him inducted into the Pro Football HoF. If he always played as he does now, he would never have led his team to 2 SB victories and wouldn't be a future HoF'er.

If I’m an Eagles fan, what excites me is his rocket arm, deadly accuracy when he’s hot, toughness to not shy away from hits, and Big Ben-like ability to bounce off tackles before connecting on a big play.

What would worry me? Seems to be hurt every year, streaky with his accuracy, makes some dumb throws, and hasn’t been able to carry his team on his back late in games (losing record in such scenarios).

And, it goes without saying: it undermines a franchise QB’s integrity when his backup does what Foles did the last two postseasons.

I’m of the opinion that Eli’s two rings and two SB MVPs will get him in. Those were tremendous feats of historic proportions, and he did it in a major market.

I would simultaneously argue that he was never among the top of his craft in the regular season. From MVP consideration, All-Pro recognition to even these everybody-gets-one Pro Bowl nods; he rarely performed like a top 10 QB in the regular season.

That about sums up Eli Manning in the regular season. He just overachieved in the playoffs, twice. ;)

I would take Dak over Wentz every single time. I used to think Wentz had a bigger long-term upside if he could stay healthy, but Dak answered the concerns I had about him so far. He looks like a man on a mission. From anecdotes from players to stories in the press to other stuff, Wentz seems more like a ME kinda guy while Dak is about the team.

I'd take Dak over Wentz right now, given their body of work over over three seasons.
When both have performed at extremely high levels, it has been with excellent supporting casts. Wentz in 2017 had a better cast than Dak has had up until MAYBE this year.
We'll see long-term. I think both will be really good for years to come, health permitting.
I do believe Wentz has more physical talent, but Dak has the edge as far as actual results.

EVerything but the bold is true. The bold is nonsense. Wentz is as likeable a guy as I have seen in the NFL. I like him a lot just can't stand who he plays for. He is a good guy.

He hasn’t consistently been good, but he does make plays that make you say wow. Like the throw he made last night with his knees an inch from the ground. And the TD pass he threw last night was in a very small window. He makes a lot of throws where he has to throw through very small windows, and his arm strength and pop rivals a guy like Mahomes.

Problem is there is no consistency and he’ll make the dumb int’s. It’s like when we had "good Romo” and "bad Romo", we always felt like if you could just ditch bad Romo you’d have the best QB in football.

Wince is like Aaron Rodgers. Dak is like Tom Brady. One is more talented, but I rather have the Brady type.

I was just going by the reputation he had developed among his teammates for a while.

If we didn't have a QB and we are willing to trade for one, if the price was the same, who would you rather trade for:

Carson Wentz

Matt Stafford

Matt Stafford, 10 times outta 10.

Wince has a helluva arm and NFL size. That and his draft status will keep him in Offensive Coordinator wet dreams for years to come. He’s shown flashes but can’t stay on the field. Durability is a big factor when it comes to a great QBs impact on his team. He’s failed miserably in that area.
