Need to see how we handle the next 3-4 games. We will be without a starter at safety and WR.

Actually I don't see that we're without a starter at WR. Cobb can, and has, played as a no. 2 receiver, he's experienced and has good physical tools.

Think he can step in for Gallup and play well, but I guess we'll find out next few games....

I'm interested in how Moore designs and calls plays without Gallop. Maybe we don't miss a beat but the guy was killing teams deep often. I assume we can make it up with cobb, jarwin, smith, pollard, wilson, and tavon when healthy.

As does Devin Smith and Donovan Wilson. Randall Cobb should at least have a good idea what to do vs. the Packers. He'll be able to clue in the defensive staff about their offense, as well.
not really new offense new HC/OC REMEMBER....

The Cowboys started 5th in the NFC and have moved up to 2nd. Too bad none of these power rankings matter. When the NFL goes to basing the seeding off the rankings like the CFP does, then it will matter.

Cowboys have the Saints, Packers and Eagles before the break, let's see where they're ranked at the break. And I wouldn't be putting that Saints game in the W column just because Brees is out.

I hate it when the league thinks we're good! Teams get up to play us regardless, but when we're hyped, they really get charged up to beat us.
Me too. Notice how many commentators starting talking about us in the Super Bowl after two games. It happens almost EVERY time the Cowboys put a winning streak together.

100% agree. Saints could be 1-2, Superdome is a tough place to play, Sunday night game. Right now I'm picking the boys but it's a close one. Teddy is limited but he's better than your average backup QB.

These rankings are meaningless this early in the season. Ignore ‘em. Just hope we continue to win ballgames.
Rankings are meaningless at the end of the season too. Twelve teams qualify for the playoffs. Seeding (a.k.a. an actual ranking system) sets each conference postseason teams one through six. And while the highest rank teams often make it to the title game, some teams have totally blown up the entire seeding process. Even a matchup of both conferences' number one seeds always ends with one winner.

My preference would be for these types of rankings to reflect an opinion of which NFC team and AFC team were thought to be the top two franchises each given week. That is the ultimate underlying goal for all (or enough) teams anyway--to be the best in their respective conference for a shot at all the marbles.

I wouldn't judge Bridgewater coming in cold in LA. With Brees lack of injury history, the backup gets fewer snaps than with most teams.
