I thought we could at least get a 4th round pick for him. Turns out we couldn't even got a 7th round pick for him. I would say that speaks volumes about Taco that no NFL team even thought he was worth a 7th round pick.

It will be interesting to see if any team claims him.

He kept saying stupid stuff on social media which tipped the rest of the league that he would be cut so of course nobody was dumb enough to trade for him. We have no pass rush. After that preseason game I was hoping he would have a break out year for us.

I'll say it...won't shock me to see him go to the Patriots...And play for another 6 years. Thought he turned a corner here this pre-season. Looks like this staff ruined another player by moving them around. When will we ever learn? How this staff continues to get free passes on player development..is mind blowing. Coaching staff needs to be held accountable.

Not exactly in my opinion.. Yes, he said stupid stuff. But sometimes teams have to trade for a player if they are low on the waiver wire claims. Taco will go through waivers and the bad teams have first shot to claim him. So, if a good team wanted him, they would have had to trade with the Cowboys to guarantee him.

True. Seemed to be more of a problem between his ears than with his athletic ability.
He will be the first to tell you that they just didn't like his personality. Of course, the team talks about the fact he couldn't flex to either side or to the interior.

Truth is probably right in the middle.

Does he beat out Bobby Carpenter for our biggest draft bust ever?

This is a tough one. Rod Hill may have been a bigger bust just on the hype, but Carpenter was picked a bit earlier in the first round. Carpenter was picked because of who his dad was. Hill was drafted because the Cowboys (and a lot of other folks) were mesmerized by his athletic ability. Based on expectations Hill was a bigger bust. But then there was also Danny Noonan. He was picked 12th overall and had a good year but was mostly a JAG.

The loss of Taco would be easier to take if Randy Gregory was not smoking years off his career.

Then again, how do you measure a 1st round bust you spent on a mediocre aging WR like Roy Williams?
