It's really going to sting if this guy develops elsewhere. We kept the Golden Cock around longer than this.

If marinelli was actually a good coach you would have something here. It's up to the coaches to get the young guys to buy in and play hard for them. It's always been that way. My son's football coach absolutely sucks this year. I know next year he will be a freshman in hs and won't play for this bum again. All he wants to do is play daddy ball and play kids where they shouldn't play because their parents are on the city board and crap like that. If he had to play for him again I would have a problem.
Is he going to play in college next year.

Yep, he also pushed for Hill who has yet to see the field.

Oh he will this week, ready or not here he comes. For perception as much as anything else. This team needs to try to wash off the stench of failure on this whole Taco situation. The last thing they need is their latest top defensive lineman inactive again.

This is hardly surprising.

I'll ask the question that will piss some people off.

While I have little doubt Taco probably has his issues, is Marinelli too inflexible to maybe give an inch or two here or there to try to get a kid with some decent skills on the field and get him productive?

There is enough about Taco where this is probably mostly him, but I wonder if we have reached that point with Marinelli after 6 years that it might be time for a new voice and fresh ideas for the DL.

I think you have to have standards and Marinelli's is max effort. It has served him well as a coach over the years. That one player is incapable of meeting that standard is not on Marinelli.

Hopefully, we build a nice lead and are able to stick him in there and let him work through his problems. We've got a decision to make with Maliek Collins at the end of this season and the decision gets easier if Hill flashes his talent.

That's true, and this would be the 'bye week' game to do it. Tell you what, for a team that has so much young talent, the defensive line is a mess now and more of a mess for 2020.

Lol. He is going to the big time now. This is where he saves mom and dad some money and gets that scholarship playing. He could write his own ticket. I wish him luck.
Yeh he has the athletic ability and loves playing so we'll see. Grades gotta be right tho

Maybe Taco was good enough to be used as an example that you're never good enough to be indispensable.
